Yoongi didn't come out of his room until school started. His mother tried to get him out multiple times but it just didn't work. Eventually Hoseok came over and tried to coax him out but even he couldn't get Yoongi to unlock his door. Yoongi was living in a cloud of his own sadness that gets multiplied as he thinks. He couldn't fathom a way out of his self pity. The last days of summer were spent in depression, he experienced a mixture of anger and sadness at the beginning but as the week went on he felt nothing. When he got up, nothing. When he slept, nothing. When he listened to the song they created, absolutely nothing. His body was just being controlled and he couldn't feel anything. He didn't care about the worry he caused and just stayed locked up, only leaving to go to the bathroom.

The morning of the first day of school Yoongi showered and left the house without even greeting his mother. Deep down he knew he wasn't being fair, she deserved an explanation but he didn't know how. Yoongi took the long way to school to avoid passing the high school incase Jeremy was outside of it. Yoongi felt deep down like he was overreacting but it was a big deal for him. This was the first time he actually had an attraction towards someone and acted on it. Yoongi felt guilty for telling Hoseok about their relationship but he didn't actually tell Hoseok. The older just seemed to know.

Yoongi walked down a pathway through trees. It was surprisingly quiet this morning. This was the path students usually used when walking to school but no one was around. As Yoongi peered through the woods he noticed remains of a bonfire, discarded alcohol containers and finally a pair of shoes slung over a branch. Yoongi continued down the lonely path to the school, humming along to the song Jeremy helped him create. The song had a new meaning now. At first it was about an unrequited love but now it tells the tale of a horrible separation.

Yoongi kept his headphones on as he walked up to the school. Yoongi turned up the music when Suran tried to speak to him at his locker. He only stopped listening to music when Hobi had enough. Hoseok was now in middle school and had a locker beside Yoongi. When he saw the older, Hoseok tried to have a conversation. He couldn't help but feel hurt. In frustration Hobi took off the headphones and disconnected them from Yoongi's iPod. Yoongi looked back up and the younger with a face of disappointment. Hobi couldn't help but notice the puffy bags underneath Yoongi's eyes. It was from crying yourself to sleep, Hoseok knew that all too well.

"What the fuck Hoseok?" Yoongi said in anger, Hoseok just stood there with the headphones in his hand wrapping up the cord.

"You need to get out of your own head." Hoseok responded. Yoongi lunges forward to try and get his headphones, it was to no avail. Hobi just looked at him with a face of concern. This is exactly what Yoongi didn't want, he didn't want people's pity he just wanted to be alone.

"How am I supposed to do that?" Yoongi asked, he tried to sound harsh but it came out sounding more desperate. Hoseok just looked over at his best friend, his eyes asked a question that he didn't. What happened with Jeremy?

"Well this is a start," Hoseok started holding up the headphones. "You could also talk to me."

Yoongi didn't really wanna speak with anyone about his problems, but there was just something about Hoseok that always made Yoongi want to tell him everything. Yoongi closed his and Hobi's lockers and dragged the younger to a less busy part of the hall.

"Jeremy blew up at me... I can't kiss him anymore, I can't talk to him anymore, fuck I can't even look at him Hobi." Yoongi explained, he was actually feeling for the first time in days. He couldn't handle it, he was going to explode. Yoongi didn't want to explode here and now, but that may not be his choice.

"Yoongi... what do you mean 'blew up'?" Hoseok inquired with a little bit of hesitation. Yoongi had some tears in his eyes, when Hoseok noticed he felt his heart fracture. He wanted to make Yoongi happier but he really didn't know how.

"I mean he yelled and pushed and it hurt." Yoongi detailed. He got a flashback to that night and couldn't help but let his tears fall.

"But why?" Hoseok finally asked. Oh how he wished he hadn't.

"Because of you, because you knew, because you could out us." Yoongi explained, even though his eyes were filled with tears his voice was unwavering.

"You know I would never..."

"Ya I know... he didn't and he didn't give anyone a chance."

"He's just scared Yoon." Hoseok explained. He felt guilty, he needed to make Yoongi feel better. He didn't know how, people never seemed to deal with this stuff on tv. Hoseok just pulled his friend into a hug and stayed like that for a while. Slowly Yoongi's tears dried up and he was feeling better. That was until Brice's friend group passed, he thought he'd be done with them after that fight but they seemed to be back in full force.

"Looks like Yoongi has a new boyfriend. Have fun with your boy toy fag." Brice's friend Brody shouted directed towards Yoongi. On a normal day Yoongi would've ripped his a new ass but he just didn't have the strength today.

"Just ignore them and get to class, it's what I've been doing for years." Yoongi says to Hoseok while walking to class. When he got in he was greeted by the familiar faces of Jin and Namjoon. They saved him a seat in between the two, Yoongi rushed to get the seat before the teacher began speaking.
.......

During lunch Yoongi didn't want to go to the cafeteria, there were just too many people. Rather then eating lunch surrounded by people he didn't like Yoongi ventured into the music room. To his surprise the door was unlocked giving him access to the musical instruments. The school didn't have a lot of instruments but they did have a piano. It was only and out of tune but Yoongi didn't care. He needed to be transported away from here for a while.

Yoongi crossed the dark empty room and went to the piano. He put his lunch on the bench then sat beside it. The bench squeaked under the pressure but Yoongi didn't mind, as long as he could play music. Yoongi slowly opened up the piano uncovering it's keys, they were chipped and worn from long hours of practice. Yoongi gently placed his hands on the keys, memorizing the feeling before pressing down.

The piano was painfully out of tune and the keys took immense amounts of pressure to make a sound but still Yoongi played. His fingers moved followed by his body, he was transported far away. Yoongi had always gone to a specific place he made up in his mind. It was outside somewhere sunny, surrounded by trees and vines. The place usually only had a piano and a bench but today there was someone else there with him. The closer and closer Yoongi got and the more he played the clearer the face got until he knew exactly was in his dream land. It was Hoseok, he sat on top of the piano as Yoongi played listening intently. Hobi was smiling and bright, he was the sun in Yoongi's dreamland. Yoongi kept playing until he heard someone clapping. The song ended abruptly and Yoongi snapped out of his dream world.

The music teacher sat in the corner of the room restringing one of the ukuleles. She was completely silent and Yoongi didn't even notice her when he rushed in. She sat listening to the song Yoongi played it went from dark to happy and light within seconds. She couldn't help but be impressed by the students abilities.

"I'm sorry... I'll just go I guess." Yoongi said when he realized the teacher.

"Don't be silly, play as you want. You have a certain hunger about you Yoongi, play until you feel satisfied." Miss Harp said leaving the room and closing the door behind her. Yoongi played all through lunch and recess, each time visiting his peaceful place, and the Hobi that existed there. He did this everyday, food had become a secondary concern at lunch time. He played and played until the bell for class rang. Yoongi was thankful the music teacher Miss Harp let him play, he wouldn't be able to survive without playing.

One day at lunch while Yoongi was playing Hoseok came to visit him. He didn't interrupt Yoongi's playing and was completely silent when he entered. But Yoongi could still just sense Hobi's presence. Usually he was completely oblivious to the world around him while playing but something made him notice Hoseok.

"Can I try?" Hoseok asked. Yoongi moves his lunch making space for Hobi to sit beside him on the piano bench. Yoongi taught Hoseok a few chords while playing the melody, they giggled and played until they were forced ba k to class. Yoongi spent all the next class wondering why Hobi always got his full attention when he walked in a room. Hoseok spent all class wondering if he should tell Yoongi about his crush on him or not.
