As Christmas came around, Yoongi became excited. It was the only day in the year his parents made an effort not to fight, and he was the centre of attention. As the holiday slowly lurched forward, snow began to really pile up. Yoongi and his friends were happy to actually have enough snow for once. All six (no Jungkook) played in the snow. They built forts, had snowball fights, they even made an army (get it) of snowmen.

"Let's make some guards for our fort! We don't want anyone getting in." Jimin suggests, even in the winter that boy held his teddy close. Yoongi was always intrigued by why Jimin always carried the thing around, but never asked him.

"Yeah, we can make a bunch of big scary snow guards." Taehyung said enthusiastically. Of course Tae agreed with Jimin, Yoongi would be more surprised if he didn't.

"Let's do it." Namjoon chimed in. His glasses were completely fogged up from his breath. He probably couldn't see a thing but still acted like he could.

"Okay but stay far away from my snow soldiers. I don't want you to break them." Jin joked, everyone laughed as they started to roll giant snow balls. Yoongi was happy their friend group was almost back to normal. There was just a little brat missing. Surprisingly his absence was actually very apparent to everyone.

"Your snowman kinda looks drunk." Hoseok said as Yoongi added the details to its face. Yoongi playfully glared at Hoseok then laughed. Yoongi took a step back to understand what the younger was talking about.

"Yeah, you're right." Yoongi laughed again. He looked over at Hobi again, he seemed to be staring at the older. Yoongi smiled at Hoseok who just smiled back. Yoongi noticed a certain glint in his eyes, one similar to the one he saw in Suran's. The two boys just kept staring at each other, until Jin threw a snowball at Yoongi's head.

They quickly snapped out of their trance and prepared themselves for a full on snowball war. The group seemed to be divided into teams. Jimin and Tae were fighting together, of course. Jin and Namjoon were throwing snowballs at everyone together. Which only left Yoongi and Hobi together. They all fought well, using their newly formed snow soldiers as shields.

In the end Jin and Namjoon emerged victorious. It didn't really come as a surprise. Namjoon was good at these kinds of things, and Jin liked being told what to do. After their battle, they all went to Hoseok's house for hot chocolate. Hobi's mom prepared everyone hot chocolate, even Jimin's teddy. And they sat at the dining room table, talking about Namjoon's new video games. It was days like this they'd remember when their older, the days when they really acted like kids. The days where they didn't have to worry about anything. The days where they could be free to be kids.
.......

Christmas at the Min residence was good, but there was an underplaying feeling of sadness. Maybe it was the thought that this was the last Christmas they'd spend together, as a family. In moments like this Yoongi really wondered why his parents were getting a divorce. Why couldn't they just suck it up and be parents together? Why did things always have to become complicated? As they sat around the tree, everyone opening presents together. Yoongi noticed that his parents actually got gifts for each other. This made him happy, it gave him a false hope that he knew was unreasonable.

When it came to presents it felt like his parents were having a competition. He got a game system from his dad, he got a new piano from his mom, he got a basket ball jersey from his dad, a new speaker from his mom. When he got his last two gifts from under the tree he noticed a significant difference between the two. His dad got him a laptop, when Yoongi opened the gift everyone in the room was speechless. Before he could open his last present, his mom asked to speak with his dad alone in the hallway.

Although they were being quiet Yoongi could hear every word.

"How the hell did you afford that?" She asked.
