The cast party was fun, everyone involved in the play went to a local karaoke bar and sang the night away. Of course there was no alcohol being that this was school funded but everyone still had a great time. Hobi even managed to get Yoongi to do a duet with him on stage. Unfortunately the fun all came to an end by 10 o'clock, the school had only rented the bar for a few hours. Slowly the theatre kids left the building, car pooling or getting rides with their parents.
Taehyung, Jimin and Hobi all piled into Yoongi's car and drove home. The group stopped at the younger boy's houses first. Jimin thanking Yoongi for the ride, thankful that he didn't have to walk home. Taehyung just waved as they went to their separate homes. Yoongi drove towards their houses when he got an idea. Before turning down the street their homes were located on, he turned the opposite way. This earned a suspicious look from Hobi."I'm not ready to go home yet." The oldest said driving down the street, further from their houses.
"Neither am I." Hoseok responded giving Yoongi a smile, letting the older take him where ever he wanted to.
......."Why are we at the library?" Hoseok asked getting out of the car. Yoongi was soon to follow, a cigarette hanging out of his mouth. The two were parked behind the local library. It was closed of course. But that didn't stop Yoongi from stopping there. The older walked behind his vehicle opening the trunk of his car and taking something out. When the older returned Hoseok noticed a blanket in his arms.
"We're not going to the library, we're going behind it." Yoongi explained. Hobi was confused at first but then he remembered. The secret beach Tae, Jimin and he had found. Yoongi walked towards the path that lead to the water. It wasn't completely clear but there was enough of a path to get through the trees. Hoseok followed close behind making sure not to trip on any discarded branches. Sticks and leaves crunched under their feet as they walked towards the hidden paradise.
Soon enough the path opened and revealed a small rocky beach. There was enough space to lay out a blanket and enjoy the lake.
"It's been so long since I've been here." Hoseok comments after sitting on the blanket Yoongi laid out. Yoongi took up the seat beside him, cigarette still hanging out of his mouth. He took it out and let out a breath before speaking.
"It's pretty, the only reason I know about this place is because of you." Yoongi explained. The two recalled a memory from Yoongi's second visit after leaving. He remembered the younger boy promising to take him there some day.
"I'm surprised you even remember that, I always felt like you never listened." Hoseok responded, laying down further on the blanket. His feet were almost touching the water, his arms wrapped behind his head like a pillow. The two stared out over the water, seeing the twinkling stars reflected in it. The lake was surprisingly calm today, it almost looked like a mirror. More smoke came out of Yoongi's mouth as he threw the butt of his cigarette into the water. The ripple went over the whole lake.
"I always pay attention Hobi." Yoongi answered making himself more comfortable. The older boy rested on his elbow, looking at the younger boy. Yoongi couldn't help but notice just how perfectly Hobi's eyes reflected the moon. It was mesmerizing, he desperately wanted to get lost in those eyes. Hoseok just stared up at the sky, completely oblivious to Yoongi.
"Do you think aliens exist?" Hoseok asked. Yoongi had heard this question before, in a similar situation too. A long time had gone by since the older thought about Jeremy. His first heartbreak, it didn't feel so heartbreaking anymore. Yoongi shifted again, laying in the same position as Hoseok, staring into the atmosphere.
"I believe in aliens, it's ridiculous to think we're the only ones out there." Yoongi explained. He eagerly waited for and answer from the younger.
"I do too, like you said we can't be the only ones." Hoseok responded, propping himself up on an elbow. He examined Yoongi's features, completely memorizing every detail of his beautiful face. Without realizing it the younger boy started playing with Yoongi's fading blue locks of hair. The older boy's roots were starting to show but he still managed to look fantastic in Hobi's eyes.
"Your hair is so soft and light, it reminds me of cotton candy." Hoseok remarked with a giant smile. Yoongi's face turned red before he said anything.
"Really? I don't even really take care of my hair, it must just naturally be like-"
"Oh my god just take the freaken complement." Hoseok cut in playfully. It wasn't meant to be mean, and it didn't come off that way.
"Did you just quote a vine?" Yoongi asked before the two burst into laughter. Hoseok half way throwing himself onto the older. After they managed to calm down, Hobi remained snuggled into the older's chest.
"Yes I did, and if you have a problem with that I'd kindly ask you to leave." Hoseok said while using Yoongi like a pillow. He was pushed off when Yoongi got up and pretended to leave. He stood beside the blanket looking down at the younger with a disappointed gaze.
"Yoonie come back, I promise I won't make anymore references." Hobi said in a cute tone while doing grabby hands towards the older. Unable to resist the younger boy's cuteness, Yoongi decided to lay back down this time he cuddled closer to Hoseok. They remained in this comfortable position for quite sometime. Hoseok's hands finding their way back into Yoongi's hair and Yoongi tracing patterns into the younger's chest. They both enjoyed this, the feeling of belonging, the feeling of love. It wasn't even necessarily romantic love yet, but it was still overpowering and so intriguing. The moon shined down on the two boys, creating an even more blissful mood.
"Hey Yoongi, are we boyfriends?" Hoseok asked still looking up into the sky. It had been bugging Hobi that he didn't know exactly what their relationship was. He had tried multiple times to bring it up in conversation but nothing worked. Finally he just decided to come out and ask what was on his mind. If Yoongi were being completely honest it was bugging him too. They both desperately wanted the same thing, yet they were both too shy to just do it. Since the kiss they were both acting like hormonal teenagers, they just needed to get over themselves.
"I'd like to be boyfriends." Yoongi answered, he sounded like he was waiting for Hoseok to approve. He eagerly looked to the younger boy who still had his head in the stars. Slowly he noticed Hobi tear away his focus from the night sky. His eyes landed on Yoongi.
"I guess this means we're boyfriends now." Hoseok responded. The two boys leaned in for a kiss, each smiling into it. All their worries melted away and there was just the two of them under the moon light. Their lips moved together, sliding perfectly in sync with each other. There was nothing but happiness radiating off the two of them. Their bodies completely wrapped in each other. They remained that way for what felt like ages, going between kissing and just hugging.
The boys spent hours under the moonlight, exchanging body heat to stay warm. The two didn't leave until Yoongi started falling asleep in Hoseok's arms. The younger gently woke up his new boyfriend, helping him walk back down the path to his car. Yoongi have the younger his keys, to drive them both home. Yoongi was way to tired to do so. The car ride was silent, Hoseok's hand resting on the older boy's thigh as he drove. When they arrived home, the two shared one last kiss before returning to their homes.
"See you tomorrow Hobi."
"Goodnight Suga."
