Yoongi's car spent a good half hour circling the parking lot trying to find a spot. By the time they managed to find one the sun was already starting to set. When Yoongi killed the engine Hoseok jumped out of the car and waited patiently for his boyfriend to exit the car. When the older finally got out Hobi eagerly grabbed his hand and dragged the older towards the park. Yoongi had never really been too fond with these sorts of things, but seeing the excitement on Hoseok's face made everything much better.
The two boys crossed the street and darted towards the ticket booth. Luckily for them the tickets were in sale today. Because it was a weekday everything was cheaper and most of the rides were deserted. As Hoseok payed for a substantial amount of tickets, Yoongi watched as excited children dragged their parents from ride to ride. The excitement was never wearing off for them, it was adorable. Yoongi was always good with kids, contrary to his outer appearance he loved children and couldn't wait until he had his own. As Hoseok wrapped things up with the tickets Yoongi continued daydreaming about his future kids. No matter how many times he imagined his future Hoseok was always apart of it, right there beside him, even before they were officially dating.
"Okay Suga, let's get this party started." Hoseok excitedly announced, one hand full of tickets the other holding onto Yoongi's. The older smiled and allowed his boyfriend to excitedly drag him down the midway, still dreaming about their future, together.
.......It was while they were on the bumper cars when Yoongi got the first worried phone call from his mother, too busy trying to hit Hoseok to notice.
It was while on the scrambler that he didn't hear the second call over Hoseok's ridiculous screams.
They didn't hear the third call while on the gravitron.
They didn't hear the fourth call while on the tilter-whirl.
Neither boy noticed when Hoseok's phone started to go off too while on the flying swings.
It was only when they reached the top of the Ferris wheel and Hoseok was leaning into kiss Yoongi that they finally heard the muffled phone ringing coming from Hoseok's pocket.
"You gonna get that?" Yoongi asked as the ringing continued. Hoseok let out a huff before reluctantly reaching into his pocket to retrieve his phone. When he pressed the answer button all they could hear was yelling. In coherent and angry yelling coming from Hoseok's mother. As the two listened closer they heard Yoongi's mom join in and they just listened as the two woman scolded the, over the phone. As the shouting died down Hoseok decided to finally say something into the phone.
"Hey mama" Hobi said carefully. He winced as his mother shouted her reply.
"Don't you dare 'hey mama' me, where the hell are you. I went over to Yoongi's house to see if you two were over there and turns out Jee was panicking too! So where are you two because we know you're together."
"Were just visiting the fair we'll be back by tomorrow." Yoongi answered this time, both boys just snickered as their parents replied slowly getting more and more angered by their children.
"What do you mean the fair? There's no fair here?" Yoongi's mother asked into the phone.
"There's one out of town, which is the one were at." Hoseok said cryptically into the phone. The Ferris wheel went around a second time as their phone call continued.
"Know what fine, who needs school anyway, have fun in your little road trip but don't expect any sympathy if you fail a test or something because you two skipped." Yoongi's mother shouted into the phone.
"I'd probably fail it anyway." Yoongi's said under his breath causing Hobi to laugh.
"Just be safe, don't you dare drive home in the dark. Find somewhere to sleep for the night. You two should have enough money for a hotel or something," Hoseok's father spoke for the first time this whole conversation. Luckily after he spoke they hung up the phone.
"Well, looks like we're finding a hotel somewhere." Yoongi said after Hoseok put away his phone. As the call ended they finished their second round on top of the Ferris wheel.
"We can't leave yet, we still have tickets and i still wanna play some games." Hoseok whined. Yoongi just smiled and nodded his head.
"We don't have to leave just yet, before we leave we gotta go on the Ferris wheel again with time without the little disruption." Yoongi suggested. Hobi smiled again before leading Yoongi through the park again to another ride.
.......
"Oh. My. God. I need that!" Hobi said as they passed the games. The younger had spotted a giant flamingo hanging down from the ring toss game. Yoongi tried to just walk passed it, he knew damn well those games were a scam. But Hoseok wouldn't let him, he just stood in awe of the giant stuffy.
"How much for one round?" Yoongi asked reluctantly.
"$5 for the chance at a small prize and $10 at the chance for a big one." The con artist said pointing directly to the flamingo as he mentioned the price for a big prize.
"How much to guarantee a big one?" Yoongi asked quietly so Hoseok didn't hear as he bartered. The person running the game sat back and considered it for a second before answering.
"$20 if you're good, $30 otherwise." The man said with a smile, Yoongi looked over to Hoseok who was still entranced by the toy before he reluctantly handed over $30. The greedy man took Yoongi's money handing him 9 rings. He passed a few of them to Hoseok and the two of them tried to get their rings on one of the bottles. Luckily Yoongi managed to get one and make it look like he actually won the flamingo for his boyfriend.
When they were finished Hoseok carried the stuffed animal underneath his arm as they came to their last stop of the day. They only had two tickets left and Hoseok promised to go on the Ferris wheel again, this time they hopefully wouldn't be interrupted. As the wheel circled up, both boys peered over the side getting a view of the unfamiliar city. It was dark out now and street lights lit up the roads, the park had flashing lights of every colour too. When they finally reached the top, the wheel stopped and they enjoyed the view.
"Hey Yoon, thanks for coming here with me today. I've just been overwhelmed." Hoseok said, he was twiddling his thumbs and looking at his feet. Before saying his reply Yoongi gently pulled Hobi's chin up so their eyes were locked.
"Don't worry about it, if you every want to run away with me again just tell me." Yoongi answered. Pecking the younger boys lips. They both took time to giggle afterwards before Hoseok began to speak again.
"Hey Suga."
"Yeah Hope?"
"I love you."
"I love you too."
.......
The two managed to find a hotel they could afford near by and spent the night cuddled together under the white hotel sheets.
In the morning both boys woke up late and they took their time driving home, enjoying some coffee and breakfast before departing.
The time on the highway was spent intensely performing their favourite songs together as the music blasted out the speakers.
When they got home however is there all the fun stopped because not only where they scolded by their parents, but acceptance letters had finally arrived.
