The man stood there, holding a chocolate bar in his right hand as he occasionally took small bites of it. Sir Aaron and you made short eye contact accompanied by a somewhat awkward silence until Doni decided to answer to his friend's previous question: "Ah, nothing. I was just helping these pretty ladies.~"

You needed to make sure you weren't mistaken, so you asked the dark blue haired male in front of you if his name was Aaron Yamadera. The knight nodded lightly, "Yes-..."

"You better call him master." Someone cut Sir Aaron off, glaring up at you since they were considerably shorter than you. What was shocking was the fact that it was no person who spoke, but a male Lucario.

"Pardon?!" You exclaimed a bit too loudly, staring at the mainly blue creature with wide eyes. "Do I need to repeat myself?" The Lucario said, crossing his arms in front of his chest.

"Jerk! Why would I even consider calling him master-..." You said, your face red out of embarrassment until you stopped yourself from continuing since the fact that this Pokémon just spoke your language struck you. "Wait, you can talk?!"

"Please excuse him." Sir Aaron said, softly pushing what you assumed was his Pokémon a bit to the side. He rubbed the back of his neck sheepishly, "He didn't mean it in that way."

"O-Of course he didn't." You mumbled nervously, waiting for your face to cool down a bit. The dark blue haired male awkwardly cleared his throat before continuing. "In any case, my name is Aaron Yamadera, but I'm almost sure we haven't met before?"

"I'm Y/N L/N. You see..."

Doni and Aaron ended up inviting you to a hot chocolate inside as you explained both of them your situation, including everything that Queen Rin had told you. Your Pokémon all waited outside, even Sir Aaron's Lucario who didn't seem to like you that much.

While you and the dark blue haired knight were discussing more important matters, Doni had dropped out of the conversation midway and instead flirted with Camilla. All his attempts at seducing your caramel haired best friend started irritating you slightly, since you would have appreciated it if he could have done that another time.

"I see. Queen Rin did tell me that I would get a unique apprentice, and that I would meet them tomorrow at the castle, but I wasn't expecting to meet you here today." Sir Aaron admitted, smiling gently. "And I certainly didn't expect my apprentice, well, to be female."

"Well excuse me for not matching up with your expectations." You retorted, feeling insulted. You didn't expect Rota's most talented knight to be judging you right off the bat like that.

"I-I didn't mean to offend you, I'm sorry if it sounded like that." Sir Aaron waved his hands defensively, trying to make up for what he said. You were actually relieved and quite happy that he apologized. Up until now, people would always make fun of you, and they wouldn't  consider taking anything they said back.

"I should be the one apologizing... for snapping at you like that, Sir Aaron." You said, now feeling slightly guilty. In the end it was you who judged the male's personality by a simple misunderstanding. "But say, do I really need to call you master? I mean, you will be my instructor and so..."

"O-Of course not! Please don't take everything Lucario says personally. He sometimes just can't tell the difference between being polite and awkward." Sir Aaron quickly said, blushing lightly. You nodded, attempting to hide your pink cheeks from the knight sitting across you.
