Everyone was actually laughing until the mysterious crystals on the ground and even the ones you all held started glowing. You ended up staring at them reflexively, but soon something much brighter gained your attention. Everyone's gazes were fixed on the tree of beginning that was just up ahead and most of it now glowing like the stones in your hands.

"What on earth is that..?!" You blurted out, your eyes never leaving the sight of the turquoise-green beams of light emanating from the giant tree. Perhaps it was some sort of signal? Then again, who or what would send it, and was it a good or a bad thing? Even though the idea sounded ridiculous, you weren't the only one with those thoughts. "Maybe it's a sign! Do you think we should go in?"

"I don't know... but what other choice have we got..?" Doni replied to his best friend's question, moving his gaze from the tree of beginning to the rest of you from time to time. In the end, the blond captain started running ahead, you all following his lead. The closer you got to the source of that immense, mysterious light, the more aware your group became of the dangers lying up ahead. Not only that, but once you were at the feet of the tree of beginning, you realized that it wasn't exactly a giant tree. Not at all.

"What the hell is this thing..?!" Kai was never one to mind language, but he couldn't help but blurt out his thoughts. The tree of beginning - from what you could see and tell now -  appeared to be a formation of rocks that only made it look like an enormous tree from far away. The turquoise light suddenly disappeared, leaving you all to question what had just happened.

"That was odd... Let's get moving for now-..." But before Rouen could finish his statement, the ground between your division and seemingly an entrance to the tree of beginning started shaking, and not much after, something emerged from it. A Pokémon. And not just any Pokémon, but a legendary one at that. One that was a member of the legendary titans: Regirock.

The orange dots of the pattern Regirock had on its face started glowing one after the other as the golem-like creature emitted weird sounds. "Guys, look out!" Doni was able to warn you just in time; A moment later and the Hyper Beam it fired would have completely hit you. Aaron throwing himself at you in order to get you both out of its range was the main reason you dodged the attack. "Are you alright?"

"I am, but what do we do?" You replied, pulling away from the dark blue haired knight's chest. Both of you scanned your surroundings and were relieved to see that your teammates were all doing fine. Out of you five, Rouen had the most knowledge about the tree of beginning and its few known mysteries: "Regirock will do anything to protect the tree of beginning, so if we want to get in, we must defeat it!"

"Alright, let's do this then! Heracross use Focus Blast and Momo use Brick Break!" Doni ordered his two Pokémon to do, pointing at the legendary titan with his hand. Since Regirock was a rock-type, fighting-type moves were super effective. Both you and Aaron used your arms to perform the most known gesture trainers do when instructing their Pokémon to perform a move: "Lucario, Aura Sphere!"

Purposely or not, Regirock didn't dodge any of the attacks which only made things easier for you. Momo was the first one to attack since it used a physical move. After that, the others fired their special moves, careful not to hit their chromatic ally. All of those attacks hitting the golem Pokémon resulted in a huge cloud of smoke which prevented you from seeing anything.

Once it settled down, Regirock was no longer there. Only a large hole in the ground was left. It was probably the escape route the rock-type Pokémon had taken in order to get away. "That was easier than expected..." You commented, not being the only one who had predicted a much more challenging battle. "Let's proceed! We've lost enough time already!"
