"Dear Doni, dear first knight division,
It is a grand relief that you all succeeded in getting to the Grona kingdom safely. We are also very glad that you have already taken care of most important issues with prince Luntian. Despite all that, what is about to be said is no cause for celebration: Our queen Rin's health has taken a turn for the worst. She is lying sick in bed, holding onto the last amounts of strength she has left in her. We have contacted the best doctors and medics in our kingdom, even requested aid from the Kinola kingdom and unfortunately, the situation is very severe. But not all hope is lost yet! There is still a way to save our queen: Kinola's experts have stated that there exists a mythical crystal that when fused can cure any kind of wound or illness, even rescue a creature on the brink of death. Obtaining that crystal is anything but easy. That is because it is located inside the Tree of Beginning. We have faith in you, we know you have what it takes to save our queen. I beg of you, there is not much time left." - The letter was signed with 'Jenny Kumiko'.
Aaron was shocked at the very words that left his mouth while everyone stared at him with either wide eyes or dropped jaws, their mouths covered by their hands as if to try to avoid to make their gasps audible. This was horrible news. From what Mrs. Jenny had written in this letter, you all were made to believe that queen Rin didn't have much time left.
And just to make matters worse, the only way to save her was to get a mysterious crystal that can only be found inside the tree of beginning, one of the most dangerous places in the entire Kanto region. You looked around only to be greeted by the unreadable expressions of your comrades that matched yours perfectly.
"T-The queen i-is..?" Liliana was the first one who said something since she was too shocked to keep it to herself. But that made everyone else snap out of it and actually think about how you all should proceed. "This is... terrible."
"What do we do now?! The queen is-...!" Camilla panicked, voicing pretty much everyone else's worry as well. But Doni being the leader he is, already had a suggestion, one that would hopefully aid you all: "Alright, the most important thing in situations like these is to stay calm."
"We need to keep this a secret from the others, especially from prince Luntian and his royal advisor. We can't risk of them knowing that our kingdom is even more vulnerable than it was to begin with." The blond knight sighed, having a hard time keeping his composure. You couldn't help but blurt out something connected to how the whole thing was supposed to stay secret from everyone: "Sure, but didn't Mrs. Jenny mention that they already contacted Kinola? What if word gets out?"
"Y/N is right, Grona will find out about it eventually, so maybe it's better if we consult the prince and ask him to lend us supplies for our mission." Aaron nodded, taking your side which was quite reasonable. Doni had to admit that both of you were right, but the pressure was getting to him. "But before any of that, we should share this with the second knight division. They should be here somewhere..."
"I can go look for Tristan and the others. I-If it's okay with you." Myron spoke up. It was probably the first time you heard from him today or lately in general. The blond young man appreciated his offer and asked him to do so. The white haired boy hurried inside in order to start his search for his cousin and the mentioned comrades.
"Master, we should start with preparations immediately. Sir Doni and I can go negotiate with prince Luntian while you and the others rest. I suggest we head to the tree of beginning first thing in the morning tomorrow." Lucario said and as much as he hated endangering his precious owner, there was seriously no room for choice here.
