"Guys, you're alright!" It was Camilla who had just come running from the other end of the corridor alongside her Pokémon, and who called out the moment she laid eyes on her three comrades and their faithful partners. She and all the others were being chased by guards and their steel-type Pokémon. And because they were coming from opposing sides, they eventually met in the middle, ending up having no way out anymore.

"So they're attacking you too?" Myron blurted out before the four of them turned their backs against each other in order to form the best defensive line-up they could come up with so quickly and without proper preparation. "Did you at least find the room? What about Loraine, where is she?"

"We split up; I stayed behind in order to distract the guards and she went ahead to find that room, but she hasn't returned ever since!" The caramel haired female exclaimed while also instructing her Lopunny to perform various attacks. She had called back the other two Pokémon because they didn't have as much stamina and experience as her Lopunny, so they fainted long before she did.

"We need some sort of plan!" Camilla called out, everyone else aware of it too, but the odds were quite against them. "Yes, but we don't have the time to discuss with how things are right now." Fotula pretty much stated the obvious, but the white haired male seemed to have an idea. "The rooms! We can lock ourselves inside! That way, these guys won't interrupt us!"

"B-But how are we going to get o-out again?" Liliana stuttered, avoiding a strong current of wind caused by her partner Noivern who had defeated two more of the guards' Pokémon. "I don't know, but we can think of that after we have a plan!"

And so, the four created an opening by using one of Fotula's Pokémon that couldn't be more fitting for the task: Greninja. The frog-like creature used Smokescreen which provided the group with the necessary cover in order to escape from the guards temporarily. In order to draw less attention upon themselves, all Pokémon were called back into their Old balls as soon as they had started running.

"Let's get inside our room this time! It has a window that is quite close to a small formation of trees. It will be perfect in case we won't be able to get out the way we got in." Fotula said, taking the lead as she ran slightly faster than the other three. They finally reached the right corridor and were in front of the mentioned room. Not wasting any time, all four of them rushed inside and were also quick to lock the room up from the interior, barricading themselves in by pushing the bed in front of the door just in case. After all, those guards could also rely on the power of their Pokémon.

"That was too close!" Camilla sighed, finally able to catch a breather just like everyone else in the room. Once their panting had ceased, they all took a seat on the carpet and were ready to do something with the information they had collected. "So... You said Loraine and you got split up and she went to look for the mysterious room on her own?"

"That's right." The chestnut brown eyed girl replied to Fotula's question, Myron not too excited to hear all that. "The fact that she's taking so long worries me... Perhaps she ran into Catherine and got in trouble. Of course, assuming that Catherine really is the culprit."

"I think it's fine to assume that she is the enemy we've been searching for. Loraine warned me about something similar last night." The white haired male said, mentioning a few things of the occurrence he was speaking of. "Well, culprit or not, we can't do much with those guards on our tails."

"But w-why did they attack us? W-Were they really under someone's control?" Liliana couldn't help but ask again, even if the ravenette had already voiced one of her theories describing this situation best. The purple eyed girl nodded, filling Camilla in on the matter as well, since she wasn't present the first time she talked about this. "I'm certain of that. I know someone who uses similar tactics if you're still not convinced. Those guards are clearly being manipulated by a Pokémon that knows how to use Hypnosis, but their Pokémon didn't seem to be influenced the same way..."
