It was currently something past eight in the morning and you had just finished eating breakfast. Camilla who got up earlier than you had already finished with her morning activities and was putting her shoes on in order to leave.

"Y/N, I forgot to tell you that I'll be staying at the castle in the next few days, so you should hold on to the keys." The caramel haired girl said and swung her coat over herself. "I forgot them in my room at the palace though, you should drop by today so that I can give them to you."

You nodded, putting the dirty plates into the sink as you made a mental note to remember washing them after you get back from work. You were honestly a little worried, knowing that you had just slept with the door unlocked and would need to leave the house like this the whole day. Camilla seemed to notice your uneasiness, but didn't say anything.

"I'm heading out!~" The girl hummed as she exited along with her Lopunny. She didn't close the door just yet, so you heard how she started talking with someone who wasn't her Pokémon. Curiosity got the best of you, and you had to leave soon too, so you walked over to the door, put on your shoes and knight coat and finally stepped outside as well, closing the door behind you as Lucario followed.

"Doni? What are you doing here this early?" You asked as soon as you recognised the blond knight who was already flirting with Camilla. He turned his attention to you, blowing you a kiss. "I was waiting for you.~ Since we have to report to the queen today, I thought that we could walk there together."

"Besides, I couldn't wait to see you again." The blue eyed male winked at your best friend, causing her cheeks to redden. The three of you started walking, and while you did, you chatted about all sorts of things. You wanted to ask Doni how Momo was doing, but you decided to wait until you two would be alone, so that Camilla wouldn't feel left out and get the wrong idea.

"I guess I'll see you guys later." Camilla grinned after you had accompanied her through the main gates and inside the castle. You and the blond knight needed to see the queen in the meeting hall while your caramel haired best friend had to run her own errands at the palace, so you went your separate ways.

"Greetings, you two." Queen Rin smiled as soon as both of you and Lucario bowed before her. Mrs. Jenny was adjusting the curtains in the rather large room. "We have come to report to you, your majesty." Doni said and both of you got up again, he soon pulling Momo's Old ball out of his pocket. He let the odd-coloured beetle Pokémon out of the metal object, causing the blonde woman to gasp shocked.

"Is that a Heracross? I have never seen a pink one before." Queen Rin said surprised, looking at Momo closely. Doni glanced over at you as if he was trying to express how proud and satisfied he was of both of you for finding this rare Pokémon and impressing the queen. "The Old balls also work perfectly."

"Good work, both of you. Sir Doni, you requested the day off, am I correct?" The blonde woman asked, the knight nodding as you couldn't help but be a little curious about the matter. "Then I don't wish to take any more of your time."

"Lady Y/N, since you will be on your own, I think you should guard the castle today." Queen Rin said and soon dismissed you and the blue eyed knight, you soon bowing your heads slightly before leaving the hall. "You're taking the day off?" You asked as soon as the doors were closed and you were walking towards the exit leading to the training grounds.
