"As you can see, nothing happened. You liars falsely accused us of-..." Before the red haired advisor could finish what she was saying, the maid who had just drank the beverage dropped the glass.

It shattered into a million small pieces the moment it made contact with the floor. That wasn't everything that happened: The orange haired girl collapsed and would have joined the glass splinters if it weren't for the two guards holding her. She was now clearly unconscious. "What the-...?!"

Everyone turned to Kai after witnessing that scene, remembering the mention of him having drank that as well. His glass wasn't completely empty, but the damage it caused was showing on his face and on the way he behaved: His face was covered in sweat as the poor knight breathed heavily. You quickly looked at the prince who appeared to have locked eyes with you. "Kai needs immediate medical treatment!"

"Yes, absolutely. Our royal medics are on the first floor, one of my guards can lead you to the-..." Luntian started but was soon cut off by Rouen who by then had stood up from his chair. "There is no need for that, your highness. We will find someone in the village." The one eyed man then took Kai by his arm and wrapped it around his neck, ready to carry him away. The blond prince didn't seem to get why Rouen didn't want to accept his help, but it seemed pretty obvious to you: There is no way Rouen would trust anyone in this castle with Kai's life.

"Alright then. You are free to leave immediately. You two, take her to the doctors. We need to question her once she regains consciousness." Luntian nodded at the two guards who immediately did what they were ordered to. The ravenet quickly rushed out of the hall while helping the dark skinned knight remain on his feet.

After slamming the door out of the dining hall behind himself, Rouen turned his head slightly to the side, catching the attention of a guard who was peacefully doing his job. "Lead me to the closest bathroom, and go prepare one of our Mudsdale for me. It's an emergency."

The one-eyed man didn't like to order people around that much, but Kai's life could be at stake here. Thankfully, the guard was good at reading the situation and immediately led the two to the restrooms that were on the same floor. Rouen didn't waste any time and went inside, practically carrying the dark skinned male with him.

"Alright Kai, this is going to hurt a little, but we need to get as much of the drug out of you." The ravenet informed the younger, kneeing down in front of the toilet bowl. Rouen held the other by the back of the head with his left hand while he placed the other near his lips. "How many times have I told you... I'm no woman, stop being so fussy." Even though Kai was trying to put up a strong act, he was on the brink of losing control over his own body.

"Then, excuse me." Rouen said and shoved two of his fingers inside his partner's mouth. What in BL-books and in other situations would have been rather erotic to witness, here was an attempt to save Kai from the unknown drug he had involuntarily consumed.

As soon as the younger had thrown up as much as he could possibly handle, Rouen immediately proceeded to carry him out of the bathroom, after having given him a little water to wash the unpleasant taste in Kai's mouth away. "Damn, that was disgusting. You'll have to kiss it better."

Kai was obviously joking, but the ravenet took it a little too seriously and while they walked out of the castle, Rouen leaned his face closer to his partner, pursing his lips. The dark skinned man quickly placed his hand between their mouths, reacting slightly flustered: "W-What-..?! Not right now, I just vomited a second ago!"
