It was now Friday, nine in the morning to be more precise, and awfully awkward for this early hour: Currently being at the training grounds with the number two knight in Rota, you didn't know how or what to converse about with the blond.

After having spied on what appeared to probably be his romantic evening with some girl you didn't know, not to forget that your best friend who had a crush on the man in question happened to be at the scene there with you at that time.

You were dying to know the story of Doni and that girl, since he had never mentioned anything about a girlfriend to you or the others, but you were sure that Camilla would get upset if you asked the knight about it. Knowing the female, she would prefer talking to Doni herself and not using you as stepping stone.

You decided to leave the topic for another time and asked the young man about something else that also interested you. "Say Doni, isn't Aaron coming today?"

"You dare to speak of another man in the presence of this handsome specimen in front of you?" Doni retorted quite dramatically, nevertheless causing you to chuckle lightly. The corners of his lips twitched upward, a smile soon forming on the knight's face as he was greeted by the sight of your genuine laughter since he had originally thought something was up with you, given the out-of-character silence accompanying you not too long ago.

"Well, he's at the palace, but he has something else to take care of today. Direct orders from the queen." After rubbing the back of his neck awkwardly, the blue eyed young man replied, giving off a vibe that inclined that he was attempting to hide something. You shrugged the thought off and simply nodded.

"I actually need to go discuss some things with Rouen and Kai since they're finally at the palace, so I'll need to leave you for a bit." Doni added, bringing his hand up to his face before touching his chin with his index and middle fingers as if he was thinking intensely about something. You gave him a look that practically screamed 'Can't I go too?'.

Not being able to help himself and also thinking that that certain action you performed just now was extremely cute, the knight let out a sigh, hating to neglect you because of work. "I have nothing against the idea of letting you tag along, but it's about something personal that happened to Kai a few years ago, so I don't know if he'll be pleased..."

"I-I see. Sorry for being selfish." You were immediately embarrassed after hearing the reason why he didn't invite you to go, since you were asked to meet those two knights before your grand mission. It would be strange if you were to listen in on a past occurrence on your first meeting with the two men. "You go on ahead. I'll be here, practicing."

The blond got rid of his feeling of slight guilt before leaving you. A sigh escaped your mouth as your gaze went to the ground. Here you were, training by yourself again when you had hoped to spend some more time with Aaron- or well, the others too-...

"Good morning." You were pulled out of your mental despair upon hearing a monotone yet familiar voice. You raised your head and let your eyes meet the purple orbs of the raven haired female, a small smile making its way on your face. "Fotula! Morning!"

"It's odd to see you here." You commented and glanced around in attempt to spot the other princess candidates, assuming they would be all doing something together on the training grounds. The girl across you nodded, stating why she had come here. "The others are in the castle's library, learning about sacred weapons. I'm not a huge lover of books, so I came here to do practical work."
