It was Friday morning and the first one you were going to spend in Grona. You and Kai had prepared yourselves and left Aramina's apartment as soon as you woke up. The woman wasn't at home, such a shame that you weren't able to say goodbye and thank her in person for having let you two spend the night there.

You weren't looking forward to today. The first reason was because you needed to go back to the kingdom's castle where you were going to see that obnoxious red-head again. You had no idea whatsoever of what happened after you left, and you weren't looking forward to seeing the result. Especially Doni worried you: Catherine had said some nasty things about him too.

But if you needed to list positive things, then it was the fact that you felt refreshed after sleeping so well. It had been a few days since you last slept on a mattress and somewhere warm and cozy. Even if you shared the bed with someone you weren't romantically interested in, you managed to sleep like a rock.

"We need to see the certificate. Otherwise we can't let you in." One of the two guards stationed at the entrance gates repeated for the third time this morning, getting on the last of Kai's nerves: "Listen, dimwit, we are knights of Rota and were invited here by prince Luntian himself. Our teammates are already inside. Hell, you guys saw us come in yesterday!"

"Rules are rules. You will not enter unless-..." The same man continued rambling monotonously until the dark skinned male's patience reached its limit: He cloaked his right hand with his aura - which by the way was a very rare and powerful one - and gripped the guard by his neck, lifting him up with ease. More like, he gripped the armor that covered the guard's neck.

"W-What the-..?! L-Let go, you b-bastard!" The guard squirmed, kicking around his feet as he tried to free himself from Kai by using his own hands in attempt to get the knight's off. The man's partner started panicking, threatening that he would call the prince if you wouldn't stop.

This was no time to cause a commotion and make yourselves look bad: You were sent on this mission to negotiate with the prince of Grona, not make him grow to despise you. You tugged at the golden eyed male's sleeve, telling him he shouldn't rely on violence. Thankfully someone else stepped in before things were able to get ugly: "Take it easy everyone! You two need to see the certificate, right? Here it is."

It was Doni who had reached you at the entrance gates, holding out the mentioned paper. He was accompanied by Camilla, Rouen and... Aaron. His Lucario was present as well. Kai let go of the guard who almost choked by that time as soon as he spotted his comrades. You were really lucky they showed up when they did.

"F-Fine, you maniac. Hurry and go inside!" The guard who had been attacked exclaimed, not daring to look the dark skinned knight in his intimidating eyes. You weren't too fond of how he referred to him, but you also had to admit that you could have come to a solution without anyone almost suffocating.

"Y/N! We were worried!" Camilla immediately tackled you into a hug as soon as you were given permission to trespass the gates. You gladly returned the gesture, squeezing her a bit tighter. You made sure to apologize for having disappeared on them without saying a word. "We were just about to come look for you."

You smiled into the girl's embrace before looking up at the relieved faces of the knights who stood behind her. You were quick to look away once your eyes locked with Aaron's blue orbs for a mere second or two though. He did seem to be regretting what he had done and what he hadn't but should have.

Doni was the one to scold you once the caramel haired female released you: "Don't do that ever again! Didn't you hear what Rouen said about this place?" The blond shook you by your shoulders, soon starting to be his usual, dramatic self. You weren't sure if he was faking to be feeling well or not after what had been said yesterday, but you didn't want to bring it up by asking.
