The morning after the rather memorable night, everyone took it unhurriedly, getting out of their beds whenever and once they had properly woken up. That included you and Aaron as well. Putting your knight attire after having performed all of your morning duties had already become a habit you couldn't possibly drop.
You and Aaron just so happened to leave your room at the same time as Doni and the two Lucario did. Having him back really was a moral boost even if sometimes his comments were a little... well, unnecessary: "Just what on earth did you two do last night? Lucario went on and on and wouldn't let me sleep at all!"
"H-Huh? Nothing. A little late night training?" You replied, flashing Doni a playful smirk. The blond gasped dramatically, covering his mouth with the palm of his hand: "What did you just say?! I didn't raise you to be so perverted!"
"Oh no, not at all." You retorted, rolling your eyes as you gave Doni a gentle bump with your elbow. The male ruffled your hair before your little group started walking towards the exterior of the castle where you had agreed to meet with Rouen and everyone else. Lucario, being the individual he is, started complaining once again: "I know you have gone through a lot lately, master, but was there really a need to do those unsavory things..?"
Everything was just the way it had always been.
"Oh wow, we're the last ones?" Doni hummed once your group had gotten to the agreed spot near the entrance gates. Everyone including the Mudsdale were already waiting for you indeed. Prince Luntian and both his parents were there to escort your divisions - counting your division one, the former division one and the second division that was led by Sir Tristan Kenji since they had returned upon Camilla's request. The whole Aono family was gathered in one place, Loraine too, but...
"Loraine? What happened to your hair?" You couldn't help but ask, almost blurting it out as if it were a rude thing to do. The blonde girl turned around in order to face you - since she initially wasn't paying much attention to you in particular - and flipped what she could of her hair over her shoulder.
Sure, Loraine's hair might have been all messy and not so pretty to look at yesterday, but she usually took extremely good care of her beautiful, long hair. Now that long hair didn't even reach her shoulders. It was hard to believe at first - or rather to get used to it - but it wasn't unattractive. Not at all actually, Loraine looked more mature this way. Despite that, you wondered how she felt about this change. You believed she didn't do that just because she wanted a new haircut.
"Hm, are you jealous? You must be, after all, peasants can't afford professionals to get their hair done like this." Loraine retorted cockily, smirking or even grinning at you. That was when you stopped being worried about her state. Not because she was being Loraine about it, but because she seemed to really like her hair now for some reason. Perhaps a hint to that was the blushing face of a certain white-head.
"Well then, since we're all here now, we might as well get going." Rouen cleared his throat, taking things in his hands instinctively since he had been acting like division one's leader not too long ago. Doni didn't have anything against it of course, he thought it was more appropriate like that, saying that a person with more personal experience suited the task best.
Everyone got on a Mudsdale, having to share it with someone - that someone might have been someone they knew or one of the seniors - since you didn't have that many equine creatures to carry you all back. Once everyone was ready, Rouen approached prince Luntian, holding out his hand. The blond royal took it and shook it, almost getting intimidated by the words and look he received from the man with the eyepatch: "Thank you for your warm hospitality."
