You, Aaron, Camilla and Doni ended up spending quite a lot of time at the archery event, but at some point you all remembered that it would be better for you to continue your tour before it would be time for the main event. Aaron ended up hitting the targets as he had announced, and you ended up promising him some sort of reward later on, a reward he could eventually even choose himself.

"Isn't it getting late you guys? Let's check out the jousting event before the sun sets." You couldn't help but remind the rest of the crew that it was most probably something around five in the afternoon - soon to be evening - and all of you had wanted to go see that certain competition. Not to mention, your group had also agreed with most others and even your Pokémon to rendezvous there, meaning that going there had almost become mandatory and was no longer just a choice.

"You're right! Come on, let's get going!" Camilla was quick to answer as she linked her arm with Doni's, pulling him along somewhat forcefully yet everyone could see through her act. She was still energetic even after the series of arrows that she and her blond partner shot. Perhaps her enthusiasm was the consequence of having hit less targets than you and Aaron did - since the festival activities had apparently become a contest somewhere along the way.

While the couple led the way before you, you and Aaron decided to once again hold hands as you followed. Never in a million years would you ever get sick of the warmth that travelled from Aaron's hand to your own, no matter how many more times the two of you would do it. In order not to stay silent for too long while not sticking close to Camilla and Doni, you decided to pass the time with simple small talk. "Your parents are here too, right?"

"They are, but they're probably not competing in any of the events. The buffet is more their thing." The indigo-haired male replied sheepishly turning his head in your direction before grinning at you, the gesture being contagious almost right away. He as well asked if your mother and Devon were here somewhere, and even though you had no idea of their precise locations, you knew they were close by.

Finding the area where the jousting event was being held was actually quite easy, the reason for the simplicity being that a lot of people had gathered around that specific area. Rouen and Kai were present just like they had said they would be, along with Yuma of course. Excluding them, there were a lot of knights from other divisions such as for example Sir Agravain, Sir Palamedes, Sir Aqiff and men you had never really met. Even all the Kenjis had gathered and by all of them you really meant Tristan, Yasen and Myron.

Your group exchanged greetings with the ones you came across before applying for the competition. Currently only men were allowed to compete against other men, the women would get their chance later on if they so wished, but given how this activity was meant to be done by males only, few of the opposing gender dared to try it out for themselves. And so, as you and Aaron approached the Mudsdale Aaron was supposed to ride on this round, a rather unexpected individual came to challenge the indigo-haired knight. "Aaron, I'd like to go up against you this round. Will you accept?"

"Myron?" Both you and your lover were a bit surprised at the white-haired guard's straightforward challenge, even so that you were momentarily dumbfounded. Aaron regained his composure - regained because he was still not completely accustomed to Myron acting friendly with him, given how he had ignored him in most cases and sometimes even been somewhat hostile due to the misunderstood feelings he had harbored for you some time ago - and flashed the equally tall male a confident smile. "Why would I ever turn down a challenge from you?"

"You're game, Aaron. Better prepare yourself while you still can." Myron announced, equally positive about his skills before he turned his back at the two of you and walked in the direction where his equine Pokémon was being prepared. Even though he had made sure not to let it show on his face, the white-head was embarrassed to an almost extreme level to have - exaggeratedly put - announced war on the person you were dating and so covered the expression he was making with his snow-colored bangs even though neither of you would have been able to see him make that gesture anyway.
