It was yet another day and you were just about to eat breakfast and head out to the Cameran castle, but a certain event startled you. When you were about to place your plate down on the table, you thought you heard Lucario's voice, and that caused you to almost drop it: "Brat!"

Thinking you had just imagined it, you ignored it, but you heard his voice again. "I know you can hear me, brat. You better head to the palace as soon as you can, the queen has a mission for you."

"What is this?! Am I finally going nuts?!" You exclaimed, your own Lucario looking at you a bit confusedly. Camilla and Lopunny had already left ahead of you, so you were left alone with this weird problem. "Was is telepathy? But how-... Never mind, I'll just get going!"

And like that, you even left without eating your meal, hurrying your way to the castle. Two guards were stationed at the gates leading to the training grounds, but Myron didn't seem to be here today.

"Finally." Lucario growled after you had reached him and his master along with your Pokémon. "D-Did you talk to me today? Like, telepathically? No, right? It's impossible!" You rambled, almost out of breath due to running all the way here. Sir Aaron chuckled at your reaction.

"I'm sorry, Y/N. We should have warned you beforehand." The dark blue haired male said, patting your head while you looked up at him, cheeks slightly flushed. "You see, since we all have Lucario spirit aura, it's possible for us to communicate telepathically. We didn't mean to startle you by doing this."

"A-Ah, no it's fine. It just really surprised me." You said, rubbing the back of your head embarrassedly. Lucario sighed and scolded you for being childish, getting scared of something that in his opinion was a normal thing to do.

"Whatever, I didn't rush here to listen to your complaints." You said, crossing your arms in front of your chest as you rolled your eyes at Aaron's Lucario before turning to face the knight. "He said the queen had a mission for me, so I should go see her-..."

"There's no need for that. The mission has been assigned to both of us." The dark blue haired male said. "We'll need to go to the kingdom's port. I'll tell you the details on our way there."

"Oh, and our Pokémon should stay here. They can train with Doni if they want." Sir Aaron added on which his Lucario seemed to disapprove. "But master, how can I be sure that you'll be safe with only the brat by your side? Besides, there is no way I am going to cooperate with Sir Doni!"

Sir Doni? So Lucario respects Doni and shows it only when the person himself isn't around. Never mind that, what is he trying to say, that Aaron won't be safe with you. Before you could say anything to it, the dark blue haired young man cleared everything out peacefully. "You don't need to worry about anything. I'm entrusting you with the task of taking care of Y/N's Lucario today. Don't let me down."

Before Lucario could complain any further, Sir Aaron took your wrist and led you away from the Cameran training grounds. Your cheeks rose pink at the feeling of Aaron's warm hand, but you tried not to stand out.

"S-Sorry." The knight silently apologized after realizing he had been holding your hand for a while now. The two of you were walking through the village promenade, and for the first time, it was just the two of you. It almost felt like a date-...

"Have you eaten breakfast yet?" Sir Aaron asked, snapping you back to reality. You shook your head lightly. "N-No. I rushed out of the house as soon as I heard Lucario, so I kind of forgot to eat."
