Your Pov:

Today was the day. I'm going to tell Zayn how I really feel about him, I've been bottling up my feelings for 2 years now, ever since I first met him. I haven't told him I like him because we've been best friends for so long and I really don't want to ruin that.

I sighed. "Sometimes you gotta take chances you know?" I told louis who was the only one who knew about my feelings for him.

"Well finally Y/N, it's about time you told him!" Louis laughed.

The knock on your door signalled Zayn was here, I looked at Louis and he nodded. I took a deep breath and walked to my front door, opening it and letting him in.

I had talked with him on the phone earlier and I had explained I needed to tell him something, I really can't back out.

"Hey Y/N." He smiled, giving me a hug.

I pulled away and led him into the living room as we sat down on the sofa while Louis sat in the kitchen looking at his phone, although I knew he'd be listening.

"So what was it you wanted to tell me?" Zayn asked, smiling brightly.

"Um...well, you see, I don't really know how to say it." I started, stuttering. This was harder than I thought.

"Hurry up Y/N! I've got something to tell you too, I mean it's not that exciting but you know." He sighed.

"Zayn! Would you let her speak!" Louis exclaimed.

Zayn looked over to him and was about to say something when I decided I had to hurry up.

"Zayn why don't you go first?" I said, quickly, earning a look from louis that said 'will you just get this over with?'

"No Y/N I really think you should go first." Louis suggested.

"Shut up louis, Zayn tell me first please." I said, too nervous to concentrate.

"Okay well I have a girlfriend was all I wanted to say, I just thought you guys should know, she knows all about you Y/N and she'd love to meet you." He explained, smiling and shrugging his shoulders.

"Now will you tell me what's wrong?" Zayn said, playfully nudging my arm.

I sighed, looking at louis who gave me a sympathetic smile but he mouthed, "tell him."

"I know this will probably ruin our friendship but I wanted to tell you something that's been on my mind ever since I met you. I really like you Zayn. It's okay that you have a girlfriend. I'm happy for you! I just wanted to tell you how I feel, that's all." I admitted, my voice cracking slightly.

Zayn looked at me with a shocked expression, "your only just telling me this now? Couldn't you have told me before!" He shouted.

I furrowed my eyebrows in confusion and louis came and sat next to me on the sofa, rubbing my back for comfort.

"What do you mean?" I asked.

Louis laughed and nodded at Zayn, what is going on?

"What's going on? Louis what do you know?" I asked, completely confused.

"Louis why didn't you tell me she liked me?" Zayn said, running his fingers through his hair in frustration.

"I didn't know you'd go and get a girlfriend! Besides, she was planning to tell you today." Louis defended.

"Y/N, I like you too, I've loved you for so long and I've only just told louis." Zayn explained.

"Then why do you have a girlfriend?" I asked, raising my eyebrows.

"I asked her out on a date to try and get over you because I didn't know you liked me, Y/N you could've told me sooner." He said, shaking his head playfully.

"Well I like you too." I said, giving him a small smile.

Zayn grinned, "Y/N, now that I have
the right girl." He began and I laughed.

"Will you go on a date with me?Obviously I'll tell my girlfriend first and explain everything."

"Yes Zayn, so long as you explain everything to her. She deserves that." I grinned, I was finally going to be with the man I love and I couldn't be happier.

I engulfed louis into a hug, "thank you for persuading me to tell him." I whispered.

"Your welcome babe."

Zayn called his girlfriend and explained everything and surprisingly, she had guessed he liked me because of how much he apparently talked about me.

"I love you Y/N."

"I love you Zayn."
