"Is your lover, playing on your side? Said he loves you, but he ain't got time."
You sat and thought about how little time you and Liam had been spending together recently, it was hardly any at all. He was constantly working in the studio until late or doing interviews and you were starting to miss him more than usual.
It was midnight and you heard the door open before closing and a few minutes later Liam entered your shared bedroom, looking exhausted.
"Hey Li," You sighed as his head snapped up in your direction.
"What are you doing up? It's late." He said and you shrugged.
"I couldn't sleep and I've really missed you." You admitted.
"I've missed you too and I'm really sorry but you know there's nothing I can do about it. The boys need me and we've got a lot of promo and writing to do." He sighed, regretfully as he kissed your forehead.
"I know. When is your next break?" You asked.
"In a few weeks I have the weekend off but were needed to go back on tour soon." He told you.
"I'm sorry, I love you and when I get some free time we will do something together. It's just that the boys need me right now." He said, smiling as he kissed your forehead again before going into the bathroom.
"I need you too." You whispered before getting comfortable in bed and trying to go to sleep.
"Full of honey, just to make him sweet, crystal balling, just to help him see what he's been missing."
You were annoyed. It was Friday and Liam's weekend off and even though he said he would spend the weekend with you, he had still decided to go out clubbing with the boys after work, only sending you a text to let you know where he was. You were fed up and you decided that if he could have a good time, so could you.
You arranged to go out with your friend as you got yourself ready, putting on your favourite dress and heels, curling your hair and putting on minimal makeup before you went to meet your friend.
"So where to?" Your friend asked, looking happy to see you.
You hadn't seen her in a while, due to waiting up all of the time for Liam so you could spend a bit of time together and you hadn't realised just how much you had missed her.
"Anywhere, let's just go and have some fun." You said with a smile.
"If your looking, for that Mr. Right, need that magic, to change him over night."
You walked into your home hours later after clubbing with your friend only to see Liam standing in front of you.
"Oh, it's nice to see you after such a long time." You snarled as Liam's eyes widened, looking slightly taken aback.
"Where have you been?" He asked, sternly.
"Clubbing with my friend," you said nonchalantly.
"Why didn't you tell me? I at least send you a text to let you know where I am, unlike you who didn't even bother to tell me where you were, I was worried!" Liam exclaimed.
"Well I thought you wouldn't be home before me, your not usually." You shrugged.
"That's not the point, you should've told me. Plus that dress is quite short, you know I don't appreciate you going out and attracting other guys." Liam snapped and you looked at him shocked.
"Well I didn't so deal with it and as for your remark on attracting guys, I didn't really think you cared anymore." You snapped back, it now his turn to look shocked.
"What is that supposed to mean?" He growled.
"It means that I'm fed up of this now Liam. I understand that your job stops us from spending time together but you've been spending so much time with the boys and you decide to go out tonight and just completely forget about me and I wasn't even that surprised." You shouted, fuming.
"So were back to my job are we? We were celebrating. I'm allowed to go out and have fun!" He shouted back.
"Yeah and you know what? So am I and you know what else? Were done." You screamed, walking upstairs to pack your bags.
You weren't living miserably any more.
"So come and get it, while you've still got time."
You walked down the stairs with your bags as you wiped your tears.
You had changed into a T-shirt and jeans and had decided to leave now before it hurts you even more.
"Y/N wait, please don't go." Liam pleaded as you reached the door. You turned around noticing his eyes were watering with tears.
"I didn't realise how far this had gotten and how much it has hurt you. I'm sorry, I'll make more time for us, just- p-please don't go." He spoke, shakily.
"I don't know if I can anymore." You mumbled, tiredly.
"I didn't realise what I'd been missing and how much I had missed you. I don't want to loose you, I would never want that." He uttered the last sentence, looking at you pleadingly.
"Don't leave me, I'll do better, just please don't go. We can sort this out and we can be happy again." Liam explained, walking over to you and placing his hand over his.
"I need you." He muttered, so genuinely that it made your own eyes water with tears.
"Just one more chance Liam. One more chance to change it all." You compromised and he nodded frantically.
"Yes, of course. Thank you. I love you." He sighed in relief, kissing your face all over.
"Okay, I love you too." you giggled, not having laughed with Liam in a while.
"I'm going to do my best to make this work." Liam said, determined.
"I believe you and I trust you." You said.
He leaning in, attaching your lips as they moved in perfect sync and you smiled into the kiss, grateful to have a second chance at fixing your relationship.
