I was currently at a restaurant with Liam, as it was our 20 year anniversary today and I couldn't be more happier. We'd been laughing and talking about little, silly, unimportant things all night and I couldn't believe I had been lucky enough to spend 20 years with this man.
"Y/N," Liam began, taking my hand, his tone of voice and facial expression becoming serious.
"Yeah?" I asked, waiting for him to continue.
"I want you to know how special you are to me, 20 years with you has been amazing and certainly eventful and I still love you, like I did when we first staring dating, if not more." He said, smiling.
"I know, and I love you so much more than you could ever know," I replied, squeezing his hand in mine as he smiled at me.
"Hey, do you remember our wedding day? When I tripped over your foot and ended up falling over as soon as we stepped outside?" He asked.
"Oh yeah! That was the funniest thing id ever seen!" I laughed at the memory.
"I love how we can have a laugh about things and be serious too, like at our engagement party when we gave each other our presents which both happened to be rings," he smiled.
"I know, it's a good job we both had different things written on them or they would've been identical," I grinned.
"I know. It just goes to show great minds think alike," he winked as we held hands, our rings gleaming in the light of the restaurant.
I had gotten Liam a ring with 'I love you' carved into it and Liam had given me a ring with 'your my world' carved into it at our engagement party.
"Did I ever tell you I was going to put 'your my everything' on your ring but ended up putting 'world' because then you don't have to turn it around to see it," he said thoughtfully.
"Yes you told me on the night you gave it me," I laughed and he chuckled.
"Do you remember when our son put glue on his teachers seat and when we got called in we laughed in the head teachers face?" Liam laughed and I nodded.
"The teachers were not impressed with us," I giggled.
"I couldn't even tell him off properly because I was laughing that much," Liam admitted.
"Do you remember when our daughter asked her teacher how you make babies? Because you said 'let's go make another baby' and we had to explain to her teacher we were trying for another baby." I laughed, remembering how embarrassed I was.
"Oh yeah! Then when you had him she wanted to know how her brother was made," Liam chuckled.
"And you made me explain, claiming you were too tired to answer," Liam added, pouting.
"Hey! I was tired! You'd know if you'd had to give birth to two children," I said, shaking my head at him.
"I know and I love you so much for it, I always will." He smiled.
"I love you too. Happy anniversary Li," I said, leaning across the table to give him a quick kiss.
"Happy anniversary Y/N, my beautiful wife." He grinned cheekily.
"Even though we've had two children, you'll always be my baby girl, it's just our daughter is too," he added.
"I know and you'll always be my baby boy, it's just...our son is too," I laughed as we enjoyed the rest of our night together.
