Lucy's POV
I am awakened by my brothers' voices. They're yelling. Arguing. What a surprise.
I get out of bed and stretch, yawning. From my bed, Gus purrs and I realize I forgot to acknowledge him.
"Good morning, pretty kitty. You're looking as cute as ever." I'm definitely not a morning person but something about today puts me in a good mood. Even if I was woken up by my brothers fighting.
It's been a few days since I slept over at Ansel's. Even though we both confessed our love for each other, I don't want to get too clingy. I have always been independent, and if my relationship with Ansel doesn't work out, I want to still be independent.
I go into Brandon's room to scold them for waking me up. They're playing a video game.
"Wow. Some things never change, huh?" I say. They ignore me and I leave the room, rolling my eyes.
I hear my phone ringing from my room.
"Hello?"
"Hey, Lucy. It's Ansel." he says, as if I didn't already know.
"Hey Ansel!"
"Sorry, did I wake you up?"
"Oh no, my brothers did. What's up?"
"Well, I wanted to see if you would want to go on a date with me?" He asks. He's so cute.
"Of course, when would I not?"
"Great! I'll see you in about half an hour? Oh, and bring a bathing suit!" He sounds so excited.
"See you in a little bit." I say and hang up. I smile to myself. Why am I so lucky?
I get ready. Since apparently we're going swimming of some sort, I don't waste any time doing my hair. I put it up in a bun.
I go to my closet and pick out a teal bikini. Normally I'm too self-conscious to wear bikinis. I think it's a girl's instinct. Chloe assured me I looked good in it and convinced me into buying it a few months ago. I still haven't worn it.
I change clothes and put a grey t-shirt and jean shorts on top of my bathing suit.
And I'm ready.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Ansel picked me up and we're on our way to yet another place unknown to me. We're driving through countryside. Fields of corn and soybeans pass the sides of the car.
I'm looking out the window as Ansel takes my hand, brings it up to his lips and kisses the back of it. It's the little things like this that make me love him more and more.
We pull into a gravel road. It is surrounded by green: bushes, trees, flowers, vines-everything. It looks like a forest.
We continue down the road and up a small hill until we reach our destination.
"Wow." I say, in awe of the beauty that is sitting in front of me. It is a lake. It has huge pine trees surrounding it. The water shows a reflection of the perfect blue sky. It's very beautiful and peaceful.
Ansel interrupts my thoughts by saying, "C'mon, lets go swimming."
{READ THIS: So my cousin is in the military and had been gone for a year. I messaged him on Facebook a few weeks ago asking when he'd be home and he told me he didn't know.
We were having a birthday party for my brother yesterday and my uncle pulled up and my mom said "Oh.My.Gosh!" And I didn't know what was going on but then I saw my cousin and was even more confused!! I thought I was hallucinating! Then I ran and gave him a hug & it was the best feeling ever! Apparently everyone (even my mom and brothers) except me and a few other people knew he was home! I'm glad I got surprised though because it was honestly one of the best days of my life! I just feel so content with life right now. Nothing could've made today better! If you read all of this comment your mood right now! Mine is happy :) }
