Lucy's POV

"Uhh, hi." I say, unsure of what conversation I'm interrupting.

"Lucy, this fine, young man is my brother, Warren. Warren, this beautiful lady is my girlfriend, Lucy." Ansel takes the awkwardness away, thank goodness.

"Wow, Ansel. You didn't tell me you had a girlfriend. Hi, Lucy. It's very nice to meet you." Warren says. I can see the resemblance between him and Ansel.

"It's really good to meet you too!" I smile as brightly as possible. First impressions are very important.

Ansel walks over to me and protectively puts his arms around me for a hug.

"One question, how do you put up with this crazy kid?" Warren says.

"The real question is, how do I put up with her?" Ansel teases.

"Ansel, c'mon now. We all know who's trouble in this room." Warren says. Brotherly love. I've sure seen enough of it in my lifetime.

"Yeah, yeah. Anyway, sorry to ditch you, but we were just about to leave." Ansel says.

"Darn, well hopefully I'll get to meet you again when you all aren't in a rush!" Warren says.

"Yeah, hopefully! It was nice meeting you, Warren." I smile. Well, I've now met 2/5 of the Elgort family.

Ansel leads me out the door and into the car. Once we're seated and driving he says, "As much as I want to spend more time with you, I should probably take you home. I don't want to give your mother the wrong idea of me." He's such a gentleman.

We pull up to the curb in front of my house. He puts the car in park and turns to face me.

"Well, I had fun. Thank you." I say and start to reach for the door handle.

"Whoa whoa whoa. You're not going to give your boyfriend a goodbye kiss?" Ansel says, a giant smirk present on his face. I can't help but smile.

I reach over and put one hand on the back of his neck to pull him to my height. Our lips meet and it is the best feeling in the world. As if my stomach was the sky, thousands of fireworks are exploding and creating a warm, sizzling feeling spreading throughout my whole body.

I'm pulled back to reality and realize I don't want things in this relationship to go too far, too fast. Our lips part, Ansel opens his eyes and I smile. He gives his usual smirk that makes me go crazy. Gosh, he's gorgeous.

"How was that for a goodbye kiss?" I ask.
"Simply amazing." He says. I give him another peck on the cheek and get out of the car.

"Goodbye, Ansel." I say through the rolled-down window.
"Goodbye, Lucy." He says. He pulls away from the curb and in his rear view mirror I can still see the smirk spread across his face. .
