Chapter 41

Lucy's POV

Ansel and I have been watching movies all evening. They've been all varieties of genres-comedy, romance, action, horror- you get the idea.

I yawn. I've been sad and tired all day but the only thing that has kept me slightly happy and awake is Ansel.

This movie we're watching is getting boring. I lost interest a while ago.

"Ansel, do you know how much I love you?"

"No, how much?" He says, and kisses my forehead.

"More than anything. You know exactly how to make me happy. You know me better than anyone else." He smiles and takes my hand, weaving his fingers with mine.

"It's funny." He pauses. "Because I feel the exact same way about you." Hearing him say that warms my heart and makes me smile.

The movie ends and as the credits roll down the screen Ansel asks, "You up for one more?" We have the apartment to ourselves. Cory watched about half of the first movie with us, but apparently he got bored. He left to go to hang out with his new friends.

"No, not really."

"Oh. Then what do you want to do?"

"Hmmmm, maybe a little of this?" I kiss him, and he kisses me back. We're making out in a short time. Ansel stands up from the couch, moving away from my lips. I pout.

"Come here." He picks me up and carries me to his bedroom. He places me gently on the bed and hovers overtop of me. Finally, our lips touch again.

I don't realize how far we're going until Ansel is pulling his shirt off.

"Is this headed where I think it is?" Ansel asks out of breath.

"Yes."

"Are you sure? I mean, are you okay with that?"

"I've never been more certain in my life." I say, and go back to kissing him.

I'm not entirely sure I want this to go that far just yet, but right now, I definitely don't want to stop.
