Lucy's POV

Lately I've been sleeping until about 11 o'clock in the morning. That's not the case today.

I hear a knock on my door. I'm typically a very deep sleeper, but I was having a nightmare, so the knock thankfully saved me from the zombies about to eat me in my dream.

"Go away!" I groan and roll over on my stomach. It's definitely not time to wake up. The clock tells me it's 8 AM.

Whoever knocked completely ignores me and comes in anyways. I feel my bed bounce as if someone sat on it, throwing my comfort level off.

I roll over to see who it is. Ansel. My attitude automatically softens.

"Hey! What are you doing here this early? And how'd you get in here?" I haven't seen Ansel in about a week. He says he's been 'busy'.

"I have something to tell you! Daniel let me in." He explains. Ugh, of course Daniel let him in. He gets up at 6 AM or earlier every morning because that's what he's used to.

"What do you have to tell me?" I try to sound excited, but the only thing I'm excited about is going back to bed.

"Drum roll please!..... I got an apartment! Since its almost July, I can move in in a few days!" He exclaims.

"Oh my gosh, Ansel! That's awesome!"

"I'm really excited. We can finally have somewhere to be alone." He pauses. "Well, actually, I have a roommate. His name is Cory. He's moving down here from New York. I've known him since kindergarten."

"That is so great, Ansel. This will be so good for you." I am happy for him. Soon he'll be at his own place and in a month I'll be living in a dorm.

Yay for college!

Ansel's POV

Today's the day I finally move out on my own. I told Lucy a few days ago, and I'm still not sure how she feels about it. We won't have complete privacy, but it'll still be better than we had.

Cory, my roommate, isn't moving in until later this month, so I have the whole apartment to myself for a while.

I'm packing the last of my junk into boxes when I hear a small voice.

"Knock, knock," Lucy cautiously walks into my box-filled room.

"Hey, cutie." I walk over and give her a long kiss.

"You're in a good mood." She says, giggling.

"I'm ready to get out of here!" I join her in laughing. "Wanna help carry some boxes? Warren, my dad and I already carried out the heavy stuff, so it's just boxes. Millions and billions of boxes."

"Aren't you sad at all?" She asks.

"Not really. It's going to be weird not living with my family, but I'll probably like it." I can tell Lucy is still unsure about this, but it's too late now.

Lucy's POV

Once we've moved everything into Ansel's new apartment, Warren and Ansel's dad leave Ansel and I to unpack all the stuff. This may take a while.

I open a box labeled 'KITCHEN', and take it to the kitchen to unpack it.

"Here, babe, let me help you." Ansel says. We place his mugs, glasses, bowls, plates and utensils in their correct drawers and cabinets. Together, we're done in about 10 minutes.

"Lucy?" Ansel speaks after a long time of silence.

"Ansel?"

"What's wrong?" He asks, concerned.

"Nothing. I'm fine."

"Come here." He goes into the living room and sits on the couch. He pats the seat next to him, welcoming me to sit down. Once I do, he says, "Now, tell me what's wrong."

"There's nothing wrong. I'm just kind of scared. To grow up. The fact that you can't go back to the past no matter how much you want to."

"Hey," Ansel says, kissing the top of my head and smiling,"We can grow up together."
