Ansel's POV

I hang up the phone and throw it on my bed. I cannot believe this.

I storm out of my room, grabbing my keys off the counter.

"Ansel! Where are you going?" Lucy yells behind me.

"To take care of this." I open the door but stop and face her before exiting.

"Who was it?"

"Don't worry about it."

"Fine, if you don't tell me I'll just call the number myself." She crosses her arms and pouts.

"Yeah, who's acting like the kid now?"

"I'm coming with you."

"No, you're not. Stay here."

"Only if you tell me."

"No." Her mouth opens to say something but I stop her. "Goodbye." I say, and shut the door before she can stop me. She just needs to let me handle this.

I get to my car as fast as I can before she is able to follow me.

Lucy's POV

"What's going on?" Cory asks, coming in to the kitchen. I almost forgot he was here.

"Nothing, sorry you had to hear us arguing."

"Come on, tell me. Maybe I can help."

"Somebody sent me a strange text, Ansel called the number, and then stormed off in a rage. He wouldn't let me go with him."

"He's probably just protecting you, you know? I've known Ansel for a long time and I know that it takes a lot for him to get mad, so this is probably serious."

"I guess, but I'm worried. What if he gets hurt?"

"He'll be find he can defend himself. He's strong."

This helps calm me a little bit, but I can't help but think of the worst scenario.

Wait..

I finally realize the only person who could set Ansel off like this.

Chase.

Ansel's POV

Luckily, I know exactly where I'm going. I'm speeding way over the speed limit. I should be worried about cops, but that is the last thing on my mind.

When I pull into the driveway, I put the car in park and go to the front door of the house.

I knock on the door hard and loud.

"Why, hello, Ansel. What brings you here?" He snarls.

"What do you think, bastard?!" I yell. "I thought I told you to leave us alone!"

"What happened to us, Ansel? We used to be friends but you let some dumb girl come between us."

"She's not dumb. You're dumb. Listen, you know I hate getting violent but if that's what it has to come to again, you should know that I won't be afraid to hurt you. This is your last warning. If you mess with Lucy again, I will rip your damn head off."

I stomp back to my car, not giving him a chance to push my buttons anymore.

I shouldn't have given him the pleasure of seeing me so distraught and angry. I never get angry.

Chase is the only thing that makes me mad these days. I wouldn't even shed a tear if he jumped off a damn cliff.

{Question of the chapter: have you ever been to a concert?}
