Sometimes even the worst of monster's have a slither of love left to give." ~ KHGH.
Valentinia:
Past (3 years ago).
Half unconscious, I felt large arms snake around my body and lift me. The warm chest I was crushed against had the consistency of a wall. However, it was strangely comfortable. So, I snuggled closer to it, burying my head in the crook of the individual's neck who was currently carrying me to some unknown location.
Chuckling, the stranger said in a deep familiar voice, "Adorabile."
Transferring me so that they held me on one arm, they opened a door. Walking further into the room, they carefully lowered me onto a bed, attracted to the masculine scent of the comforter, I instantly buried my head into the pillow.
The stranger, however, didn't leave. I felt whoever it was lower themselves down so that they lay next to me. They gently began to stroke through my hair with their callous hand. On instinct, I immediately leaned into the loving gesture the stranger made. Slowly, I again began to slip into a slumber. Just before I let the darkness envelop my being, I heard a faint voice whisper,
"La mia Bellissima Bambina."

Slowly awakening from my deep slumber, I found myself to be situated on an unfamiliar bed. What happened to the couch? I thought. Studying the room, I noticed that the interior was a lot darker than the rest of the mansion.
This is not my room- wait for my room? This is not my room; mine is at my parents' house. I confirmed. Nothing of his will ever be mine.
Allowing myself to get up off of the bed, I peeled back the covers and noticed that I was wearing a large black t-shirt.
Who changed me? I wondered. It can't have been Valentin he's not due to be arriving till' tomorrow, so who was it? Edna? Yes, it must have been Edna? I assure myself.
Walking to the door, I check to see if the door is unlocked, surprisingly it is. Walking out of the gate, I begin to start searching for the grand staircase, situated at the front of the house.
Finally. I exhaled relieved. I was walking into the kitchen, expecting to see Edna cooking up something marvellous. I stopped in my tracks. Instead of it being Edna as I hoped to see it was Mr. Morelli, hovering over the kitchen counter with his back to me.
His back was smothered in ink. The intricate designs were breathtaking. However, I couldn't quite see all of his plans as his front was faced away from me. Specifically, the skull design on his back caught my eye. You could tell a lot of time and effort went into designing this tattoo. The shading and the use of chiaroscuro was unimaginably perfect.
The eyes were pitch black contrasting against the rest of the skull, almost like they were trying to warn me to stay away from the darkness like the darkness was within him. The flames brought the art piece all together; it reminded me of hell. It was like he was trying to say he was living in hell. You can drastically tell that he is not a man that allows you to know his emotions or will enable you to know his thoughts. But, it's almost like he is trying to show you them through his tattoos. Expertly hidden but discovered if you look deep enough.
"See something you like, Princess?" He asked smugly.
Embarrassed that he had caught me gawking, I said, "I've seen better, and I thought you weren't supposed to be arriving until tomorrow. With your business trip and all."
