Chapter Three

Recap (Francisco's POV):

"Dude, let's go home," Adam replied. "I don't want you to think too hard with your potential girlfriend."

"Adam, I don't like her."

"Stop lying to yourself, Cisco. Before we saw them, you wanted to tell her how you felt when you saw her tomorrow."

"I'm not. What makes you think that she likes me back?"

"Francisco, admit it. You like Jasmine."

Francisco's POV

I do have a crush on Jasmine. For a year and a half.

It's complicated to tell her how I feel because she completely hates me. I haven't done anything to her, except annoying the shit out of her.

Since she'd approached me for more than a year ago, I had her in my mind. Every day, I used to look at her not saying anything because I was that scared to talk first. But she only asked me a question.

“Francisco, do you really think I'm dumb?” Adam questioned.

“Well, remember the last time that you almost put my house on fire three times because you were heating up food in my microwave?”

“I didn't know that you shouldn't put anything aluminum in there,” Adam protested.

“And you was chased by girls and dogs because you wanted to make a scavenger hunt,” I continued.

“The dude said to find some--”

“Dude, girls and dogs will kill you.”

“The point is that you and Jasmine are meant to be together. But, if you don't tell her now, you'll regret it for the rest of your young life.”

Jasmine's POV

“Get ready for Monday Jaz, because I know that it's your worst day,” Paulene said.

“Not all the time. It's every time I come to that prison called school.”

“But you're always excited for--”

“Paulene, we're not going to talk about this.”

“Alright,” she said. “Tomorrow, I know you're going to.”

“Why don't we talk about what we're going to wear for Up and Out Day?”

“Oh that stupid day that we have to dress up for no reason?” She questioned.

Up and Out Day is one of the most stupidest idea someone has ever made at Nixon. Who would actually dress up to walk down the aisle of the auditorium and let the class sponsor talk for twenty minutes about how the class of 2015 is better than the other classes. Then, we leave.

I like the leaving part but the rest is no sense at all.

“You're going to look all dressed up!” I exclaimed.

“Don't remind me.”

After a few minutes, Paulene got off her stop and two hours later, I was home.

“Jaz, you're home?”

“Yeah, Mom!”

My mom sometimes gets on my nerves, but she loves me. Unfortunately, I don't have her personality because she's a patient person.

I can't do that.

I walked upstairs and saw her watching reruns of "Everyone Loves Raymond".

“Hi Jaz. How was work?”

“So tiring,” I answered.

“I figured. This job is so dangerous.”

“Mom, every job is dangerous,” I reminded her. “This is interesting to me and you'd respected that.”

“I know. You're lucky that your dad and I told you to bring your grade up.”

I nodded my head. “I'm about to take a shower and going to sleep. I'll see you tomorrow, Mom.”

“Good night! Love you!”

“Love you too.” I closed the door and went to my bedroom to get my things for the shower.

Twenty minutes after my shower and my clothes were on, my body reached the bed and it was so comfortable.

I forgot to charge my phone when I got home and saw a new message.

From Paulene (Sunday, 9:27pm): Have fun dreaming about your boo :)

I rolled my eyes and charged the phone. I closed my eyes, not thinking about having school in the morning.

Paulene's POV

“Paulena! Turn the volume down!” I exclaimed to my evil little sister.

“You're not the boss of me!” She exclaimed back.

“Paulena, listen to your little sister,” Mom replied.

Ah, Mom. She annoys me, but feeds me. I love how she cares so much about her family even though she doesn't have a lot to offer sometimes.

“Did you beat up some people again?” Paulena asked.

“Um, I don't think right now is a good time to say.”

I already know she doesn't want me to have my first job as an agent, but I want her to know that it's my decision to do it.

“You can say it because you and your dad let you do it,” Mom said. “I still don't like it.”

“Mom, I love you. But I have to do my own things sometimes. I'm still here trying to annoy you.”

She chuckled. “I have you, Paulena, and your dad to annoy me.”

This family is crazy, but it's a good crazy. I hope that tomorrow can be the same.
