Song of the Chapter: I Knew You Were Trouble by Taylor Swift

Recap (Jasmine's POV):

I felt something poking my back, but I ignored it. I started to feel drowsy.

I stopped kissing him, and felt something on my back. I grabbed it and my eyes widen.

“Why did you stab me with a tranquilizer?!” I exclaimed. Everything became darker and darker.

He was silent the entire time and tried to carry me. I tried to run to get out of his sight and call for help, but it was too late.

I fell to the ground.

Day One

Jasmine's POV

Breathe.

Breathe.

My hands are numb. My legs feel like sticks.

Breathe.

What was the last thing I remembered?

“Why did you stab me with a tranquilizer?!”

Who stabbed me?

I remembered I fell to the ground when I needed help.

Okay, Jasmine. Just open your eyes. Pretend that everything is back to normal.

One…

Two…

Three.

I opened my eyes slowly and saw that I was in a basement.

Francisco, Adam, and Paulene were tied up to electric chairs. I was in front of them.

“Welcome to the party,” Adam said in a monotone voice.

“Wha-what are we doing here?” I questioned. I looked down and I had handcuffs on my ankles, then had another pair pressed down in the wooden chair on my wrists. I didn't have a electric chair.

Francisco, Adam, and Paulene looked worn out, with Francisco and Adam in their jeans and shirt, and Paulene with her uniform.

“Ask the man himself,” Paulene answered.

“Who is he?!” I exclaimed. “I'll kill him!”

“Nice for you to wake up, Jaz.” I heard a person coming down the stairs.

It was Alex.

“Alex?!” I exclaimed. “Why?! How?!”

He chuckled. “Well you see, there's one reason why you're here. I still love you.”

Shit.

“How,” he continued. “That took time and effort. Jasmine, I was here before Francisco and Adam were sentenced, you know, when you bumped me at that supermarket.

“Oh, I'm sorry, I wasn't paying attention,” I apologized to the man.

“No, it's fine.”

“That was you?” I questioned.

“I disguised myself,” Alex said. “Then, I followed you home.”

“You're a stalker,” Francisco spat.

Alex turns to Francisco. “Watch it. This a bonus of how you punched me in the face.”

“Good times,” Francisco replied.
