Song of the Chapter: Next Contestant by Nickleback

Recap (Jasmine's POV):

I pretended to go to sleep, so I won't have anymore interactions with him.

“I know you're still awake,” he said. Damn it, shut your eyes.

“Look, in the morning, it'll be a new day,” he continued. “I'm happy that you're actually sleeping next to me again.” He turned my head to face him. My eyes was still closed. His hand was touching my face. It felt cold.

“You're so beautiful,” he told me. I didn't know that he would kiss me after that.

I didn't kiss him back, nor I ever will. He got the hint after I turned my head.

“I hate you, Alex.”

“I love you too, Jasmine.”

Day Two

Jasmine's POV

I slept pretty good last night.

Sure, I was terrified that a psycho kidnapped me against my will, but I'll have some sleep in the end.

Fuck that.

I slept for four hours last night.

I was thinking of plans of how to escape. I was thinking to fake love him, so I can easily beat him and get Francisco, Paulene, and Adam from downstairs.

That'll take long.

Try to escape again.

He'll kill everyone.

Sneak out the door when he's sleeping.

Handcuffs.

Every possible attempt I think of can go wrong. He knows that I'm part of the CIA.

He knows my secrets about how I attack people.

Okay, don't give up. He's not that smart.

Shit, what time is it? I opened my eyes and saw the digital clock.

9:21am.

The actual day of New Year's.

“Oh, I guess you're up.” I turned around and saw Alex shirtless.

Since when he had tattoos? The last time I saw him, he was clean. They look nice.

What am I saying?

“If you're going to look at me without a shirt like that, then I should do that more often.”

I rolled my eyes. “Take me home.”

“You are home.”

“My home!”

I sighed. “I'm not here to argue, I'm here to tell you that breakfast is ready.”

“You know, I haven't brushed my teeth since I got here,” I told him. “Or a shower.”

He walked towards me and unlocked the handcuffs from my ankle to the bed. I got up and he pulled me to the bathroom.

When we got to the bathroom, he was looking for stuff for me to use. I looked at the mirror, while he was looking for stuff.

I look horrible.

My eyes were tired, my makeup wore off, my hair was in knots, everything was horrible. It was horrible to begin with.

Alex was looking at me fixing my hair and he gave me a concerned look.
