Song of the Chapter: Someone Like You by Adele

Recap (Jasmine's POV):

I cleared my throat. “What's going on?”

“What do you mean?”

“You'd been talking about what happened between us and you remembered my order when we used to go to IHOP. What's gotten into you?”

“You still don't get it, don't you?” He questioned. “It was clearly visible.”

“Just explain.”

“Look, since we'd broke up, I was devastated. I gotten so pissed off because my dad had to force to me to move. I told myself that I had to come back to Philly to find you to say something.”

“What was it?” I asked.

“I'm still in love with you. Will you be my girlfriend again?”

A few hours later...

Adam’s POV

A depressed Francisco is beside me drinking his problems away.

All that water he was drinking, he might as well pee his life away too.

He keeps mumbling that he messed up with Jasmine.

I think Applebee's is going to get really tired of Francisco of drinking their free water without ordering some food.

“Dude, you have to,” I told him.

“No, I can't,” he said. “Adam, I can't tell her the truth.”

“No, I mean to order some food before the manager is going to kick you out for taking free water.”

“Right.” He sees one of the waiters and asked him for cheese fries.

“Why didn't you tell her?” I asked. “You said that you will.”

“I was going to but I got stuck to those brown eyes. Those beautiful … brown eyes.”

“Hey, lover boy!” I exclaimed while snapping my fingers in front of his face. “She was the one that got us back into college. I think she deserves it.”

When I got back into that community college, I was overjoyed. Who knew that a talk with the Dean can change something?

In prison, I thought my life would be over. I wouldn't have a life anymore because I would be an ex-convict. I'm still mad that someone would do this to me. I have been nothing but nice to everyone and this is how they repay me?

Son of a bitch. I will find the person that made me go to jail.

“You're right,” Francisco said. “No girl would do that. What could that mean?”

“Cisco, you must be plain stupid.” I smell the scent of cheese fries coming our way. The waiter placed the fries in front of Francisco and left. I took a fry of his and ate it.

“Oh, I'm the one that's stupid?” He questioned.

“Yeah. Dude, she likes you.” It makes perfect sense since they messed with each other at Nixon. Why else would they annoy each other?

When they first met, it was always arguing. One of them was going to confess to me and Francisco was that person. The actions they did in high school were hilarious because everyone in that school knew clearly that they liked each other.
