Song of the Chapter: All The Right Moves by One Republic

Recap (Francisco's POV):

"Say hey to Snapchat, Francisco!"

"Hey Snapchat!" I put my tongue out.

"That's so nasty!" She exclaimed while laughing. I took my phone out and started to record her.

"Hey guys, follow me! I won a soccer game against this Mexican!"

This weirdo ... she doesn't even know 😄

I should tell her now. I can do this.

"Jasmine--"

She turns the other way and I wonder what she was looking at.

"Hey guys."

Alex.

Adam’s POV

Thirty minutes ago…

Finally, I can be all by myself for once. No girl drama, no Francisco.

Just me and some fancy cars.

I was at the car show downtown to check out the latest car models and all I see is people in suits and dresses. I think I went under dressed.

Older ladies looked at me like I was crazy, the men looked like I was competition and they started to flex, and young ladies were … you know, giving me hints.

“Hey Adam!” A person exclaimed. Someone knows me in this fancy place.

I turned around and saw a guy that I couldn't believe that was here. “Alex?”

“I knew that was you with your posture,” Alex said. He had his hand out for me to shake it. I did that like a boss. “What are you doing here?”

“Oh I can ask the same question,” I said. “I'm a fan of cars, so I was checking the cars here.”

“Without Francisco?” He questioned. “Where is he anyway?”

“Well I shouldn't say anything, but he's on a date.” So, I sort of lied about the date. But Alex doesn't care about Jasmine anymore. They're both friends.

“Let me guess, Jasmine?”

“Wow, you got that right!” I exclaimed. “They seem like a cute couple.”

“They're dating?” He asked.

“They might,” I answered truthfully. “But what are you doing here?”

“Same thing that you're doing. I was here for a couple of hours.”

“You should come with me to see some other brand new cars they're going to bring out in a couple of minutes,” I suggested. It's weird to hang out with Alex because him and Jasmine had history and Francisco hates the guy.

“Can I take a rain check? I have to get to class.”

“You got night classes?” I asked. I barely wake up in the morning for classes.

“Yeah, with two jobs, I don't have that much of a ‘social life’,” he said with air quotes. “But thanks for the offer. Maybe next time.”

I nodded. Man, having night classes sounds stressful. Glad I'm not in that position.

And I saw a beautiful shiny new Audi with girls surrounding every corner. Best night ever.
