Song of the Chapter: Sugar, We're Going Down by Fall Out Boy
Recap (Jasmine's POV):
"Hey Jasmine, I have to tell you something." I can do this. I can't be scared anymore.
"Does it involve finding my things?" She questioned.
"Actually--"
"Jasmine?"
The one person that I didn't want to see.
"Alex?"
Francisco's POV
One of the things I despise is being interrupted by a person that I don't like.
Alex tops it.
This guy that I didn't see throughout his masquerade themed party magically came into this mall. Why?
But I knew that I was too scared to tell Jasmine how I feel about her.
For the past two years in jail, I was thinking so horribly about myself. I was thinking of unhappy thoughts.
But there was a light that'd helped get through that.
I knew that I would get out of that hellhole that was called jail. I was exercising. Exercising the hell out of so I can won't think of the unhappy thoughts anymore.
When Alex came out of the blue, I started to get extremely pissed off.
"Hey, it's been so long!" He immediately embraced Jasmine with a huge hug.
Jasmine looked uncomfortable after a couple of seconds, but he let go. Alex still had that beaming smile on his face.
"Oh Francisco, I didn't see you there," Alex said. You're lying, you weird son of a bitch.
"It's fine," I said, gritting my teeth. "So, how do you two know each other?"
"Well..." Jasmine stopped herself. "We were--"
"Together," Alex ended. "For five months."
My heart sunk when I heard they were together. Why did she had to date him out of all people?
Suck it up, Francisco. They're not dating anymore.
But she can be dating someone else.
"Oh," I said flatly.
"Yeah, what a shame that we did break up," Alex commented. "My dad's job was moving."
"Yeah," she agreed. "So, you'd came back?"
"Yeah," he answered. "Living in Michigan was getting to me, so I wanted to move back here all of my own."
"So you came into this mall because?" I asked.
"I was looking for posters for my house in my room," he answered. "Wait, how do you know Jasmine?"
Why would he have to say that? Right there, I would've punched him.
"We'd went to the same high school together," I said proudly. "It's been a long time since we'd known each other."
"Nixon, right?" Alex asked.
"Yes ..." I answered slowly. This is getting a bit creepy. How would he know that?
"No, I'd used to go there in my freshman year until I had to leave early the next year, so I'm not a creep," he told me with a light laugh.
I laughed awkwardly, but I saw Jasmine looking around.
"Are you okay?" I asked.
I knew Alex was going to ask first, but nope. Competitive, huh?
