You probably won't, the voice told me. I tried to kick it out of my mind. Why is it back?

Remember me? You tried to hurt yourself in middle school because of those bitches. Remember that you could've ended it, but you didn't want to listen.

Get out of my mind.

I'm here to stay.

Get … out.

Nope. I'll pop up when I'm needed.

Before I know it, I screamed.

Jasmine's POV

I'm going crazy.

I'm literally going completely crazy to the point that everyone's going against me.

Paulene lied to me.

Adam liked me.

Alex wants to kill everyone.

That leaves one person.

“She's going crazy,” Adam said.

“We can't lose her,” Paulene added. “She's making us stronger.”

My head was up and everyone was looking at me.

It felt like my head was bigger than my actual body. I saw colors, pretty colors, around the walls.

I looked around and saw random objects.

“It's my bear!” I pointed at the brown fluffy bear. It disappeared. “Where did it go?”

“Is she okay?” I heard Alex asked.

“You were the one that traumatized her,” Francisco spat. “Now, why would you try and hurt the girl who you're in love with?”

“You don't treat her right!” Alex yelled. “I have been nothing but faithful to her!”

“If you was faithful, you wouldn't kidnap all of us and let us go,” I said. “If I didn't meet you, I still would've met Paulene, Francisco, and Adam. I'll still have my job and my education. I'll still have my family and friends. I would've still been a virgin before Francisco came along. But you, you destroyed my life.”

Alex looked at me with disappointment. “I was just trying to make you happy. I tried to have a happy ending.”

“Look where that got us,” Francisco replied quietly.

Alex immediately turned to him. “Why don't you shut the hell up?”

“Because you're trying to steal my girlfriend.”

“Oh but you was still with Rachel after you met her?”

Who's Rachel?

“Oh no,” Adam said. Paulene was confused as I am.

“How did you know about her?” Francisco asked. “She's nothing but the past.”

“So why didn't you tell Jasmine about her?” Alex questioned. “Why are you hiding? Or is it because you lost your virginity to her?”

I turned to Francisco. “You told me you were a virgin.”

He lied to me.

“Alex, what the hell?” Adam responded. “You don't even know her.”

“I know of her,” Alex corrected. “She's very known to other guys.”

Francisco didn't say a word.

“I told you so much, but you didn't tell me this,” I said to him. “Not even that, but everything.”

“We'd been together for a month, Jasmine,” he said.

“But I know nothing about you,” I replied. “You know what?”

I'm so tired of guys lying to me about everything.

“I'm done.” He looked at me. “I told you so much about me, but you can't do the same. Alex, take me upstairs.”

He unlocked the ankle handcuffs and I walked away with Alex up the stairs.

“Jasmine!” I kept hearing him yelling my name repeatedly, but I'd ignored it.

Jasmine: Guys are dumb.

Paulene: Amen to that.

Jasmine: I'm going to drive now.

Paulene: Bye!
