Song of the Chapter: Make Me Better by Fabolous ft. Ne-Yo

Recap (Jasmine's POV):

I nodded. I fell in love with that cologne because it smelled so … I can't even explain it. “Go to class!”

“Alright!” He laughed after that. He opened the door. “Tomorrow.” He closed the door behind him.

Paulene was going to come back in a couple of hours and I'll probably go to sleep anyway.

Wait.

Am I going on a date with my ex?

Thanks for @grumpy_bunny for the awesome cover!

The next morning...

Jasmine's POV

*ring ring*

I woke up sleeping on my arm. Now, my arm is numb.

*ring ring*

So it wasn't my alarm that was ringing. I looked at my phone and I saw the caller ID.

“Yeah, Alex?” I responded groggily. “What time is it?”

“Seven in the morning.”

Seven am?! Well, he is full of surprises.

“Boy, why are you calling me so early? I don't see the sun.”

“Maybe because your blinds are closed,” he said. “So I'm going to pick you up around eight thirty. Will that be fine?”

I sighed. “Alright. I'll see you then.”

“And don't go back to sleep.”

“Yeah, yeah,” I said. I hanged up the phone and started to stretch. Sleeping feels so nice. Why can't I sleep for the whole day? That's not going to be possible.

***

When I was in the shower, I was thinking. Alex came back from wherever he was. So why did he come back?

It was surprising that I saw him at the mall, but it was awkward for Francisco. Maybe he's not a people person. But when I saw him and Alex getting along at Wendy's, they could actually become great friends.

I didn't want to look tacky, so I decided to wear something casual.

I went inside the fridge to get something to drink and I saw a note on the door.

Jaz, I forgot to tell you that I would hurt Alex if he does something shady.

Have fun, but not too much fun.

- Paul

I chuckled at her note. Man, this girl is so overprotective.

I heard the doorbell ringing.

“Who is it?” I asked.

“Your knight and weird armor?”

I opened the door and saw Alex with a bouquet of Jasmine flowers. “I remembered that you liked Jasmine flowers because it was your name.”

“Aw, Alex,” I said. “Thank you.” I took the flowers from him and found a vase to put it in. “Give me a second.” It was so sweet that he remembered the type of flowers that I liked. “You can come in. I just need to fix some things.”

He went inside and started to look through the pictures that were on the wall. “You had a very chubby face when you were a kid.” He laughed.
