Song of the Chapter: Clocks by Coldplay
Recap (Jasmine's POV):
“There's a person that wants to break up Aladdin and Jasmine and that's the evil Jafar, which is Francisco.”
“Oh, I'm evil?” Francisco questioned. “Okay, sure I am. I'm the one that wants to take Jasmine away from you.”
“His sidekick is the bird who is Adam,” Alex said. He pulls out the rest of the characters.
“Yes!” Adam exclaimed.
Paulene gave him a confused look. “What is wrong with you?”
“Now we all know that Jafar isn't going to take Jasmine,” Alex continued. “And that's what I'm going to do.”
“Jasmine,” Paulene said, looking at me. “Alex loves you; like Disney love you.”
Jasmine's POV
When someone says ‘I love you’, they mean it in a jokingly way. For Alex, he's actually in love with me.
No jokes, no playing around.
Killing off Francisco, Adam, and Paulene will break me in pieces. I don't think I'll recover.
I was thinking about Mom and Dad. I wonder if they called already. They're in Florida.
Right. I forgot.
“Adam, are you okay?” Alex asked. “It seems like you have something on your mind.”
What is he playing at? Adam has no secrets to tell; his mind is totally empty.
“Are you trying to make him say something to us?” Francisco questioned. “He would already say it to us.”
“Maybe if he wasn't so drunk on Christmas Eve and told me something very important, then I wouldn't ask him about it,” Alex replied.
“Wait, I thought you was going to be with your mom on Christmas,” Francisco said. He's right. I remembered that he was going to be with her.
“I wasn't drunk, I was tipsy,” Adam said. “And I did go to my mom's house before I went to the bar.”
“I saw him talking to random strangers and didn't know that he was talking to me,” Alex added. “Now, what did you tell me?”
“Stop pressuring him, stupid,” I said. “If he wanted to tell us, he can; not by force.”
“I could care less about what Alex says,” Paulene added. “Everything he says is utter bullshit.”
I knew that sass is still there.
“I had a crush on Jasmine in high school.” What did Adam say?
“And you guys thought I was lying,” Alex said. He shakes his head. “You should listen to me more.”
“Dude!” Francisco exclaimed. “What is wrong with you?!”
“Hey, I sort of saw her before you,” Adam said, defending himself. “I was in Nixon since freshman year, and you didn't come until sophomore year. When you talked about her so much, I tried to stop.”
Adam used to like me? I swear I'm the ugliest person in the world, yet I'm attracting guys.
“You're so lucky that I'm in handcuffs,” Paulene said.
“Why did you tell me?” Francisco asked him. “I would've understood.”
“So now you don't?” Adam questioned. “This is exactly the reason why I didn't want to tell you.”
