Song of the Chapter: Latch by Disclosure
Recap (Jasmine's POV):
“You knew?!” I exclaimed. “You knew about everything? From the performance?”
“I had to distract you, so I took you shopping for new clothes,” she answered. “I'd stole your clothes and these weirdos paid me in full to my credit card so I can have enough money to spend and have more credit for me. Francisco called me a couple of days ago to help out the plan. I told you that he likes you, Jasmine.”
And I didn't believe her. Wow, I have to listen more often.
“I'd forced him to not back out in all of this,” Adam added. “I could've killed him by now.”
“Wow, thanks,” Francisco said with a blank stare. “But thank you both.”
I took off my shoes and Francisco carried me bridal style. “What are you doing?”
“Living the dream,” he answered. “I'm glad it's a reality.”
“Smile for Snapchat!” Adam exclaimed. I was actually going to smile again until Francisco kissed me again.
Paulene’s right. November 26th is a day I'll remember.

A week later...
Jasmine's POV
I've been a very happy person for the past week. I don't know what had gotten into me, but I was. What though?
Was it the fact that Francisco likes me back?
Or that Alex left me alone for a couple of days?
Or that there's fresh fried plantains sitting on the counter?
No, I was happy that I was playing FIFA. Correction, was.
Francisco tried to trick me that I cheated on a match, but I wasn't having it.
Punk.
“Admit it, you thought that you would lose and then you want to play the ‘cheat’ card!” I exclaimed.
“Why would I do that?!” He exclaimed back. “Adam, tell her that she had a foul play!”
Adam was taking a long nap on me and Paulene's carpet. “Adam, tell her that she had a foul play.” I hear him snoring again, then Francisco grabbed a pillow from one of the couches and aimed it at Adam.
Adam took the pillow and slept again.
Paulene was making spaghetti, but I knew she was annoyed with the yelling and arguing. “I thought you were dating, not married.”
I got up and walked over to the kitchen where Paulene was getting plates.
Dating. It's been a week, but I don't know what to call it.
“I'll help you.” I got the plates and lay it on the dining room table. It's weird that all four seats are going to be filled.
“Why are you being quiet?” Paulene asked me. I ignored her and started to look at my phone.
“Adam, get up,” Francisco said to Adam. Adam’s body looked like it was dead. “Alright then.” He walked over to Paulene. “Do you have any whipped cream?”
She grabs a bottle of whipped cream from the fridge. “Don't mess up the carpet or I'll mess your face up.”
He took a couple of napkins and unfolded it. He laid them on the ground. He took the pillow that Adam was sleeping in and took a handful of the whipped cream.
