Chapter Thirty-Six

Recap (Jasmine's POV):

I did the same routine that I did yesterday; eating, going to the bathroom, and him handcuff me to the bed.

“You didn't even bother to call or text me when you had my number,” he said. “That hurts.”

He kissed me once again and I started crying.

This big girl is actually this scared girl that's afraid that she isn't going to see everyone again.

Alex hugged me, while I kept crying until I fell asleep in his arms.

Day 3

Francisco’s POV

It has been five days since I was kidnapped with Adam and three days with everyone else.

I wasn't myself anymore. I wasn't that happy person anymore.

I felt dead.

I don't even know if I could change back to who I was.

For five days, I learned that Paulene lied to Jasmine, Adam had liked Jasmine before I came here, and Alex is dangerous.

Damn, I miss her.

For the first day that she came here, she fought Alex for her life. Now, she has bruises and scratches all over her. Her dress was ripped because of the fighting.

Paulene, Adam, and I haven't showered since we got here. We only have two meals; one in the morning and one at night.

I only ate a little bit, just because I don't want to die of starvation.

How can someone be so manipulative? Just because the person that you fell in love with doesn't love you anymore, you had to create chaos.

Alex went downstairs to us and handed us oatmeal. He unlocked one pair of the handcuffs for us to eat.

He went back upstairs and closed the door.

“So, what do you think is going to happen today?” Adam asked us.

“Why isn't that drug wearing off?” I questioned.

“Whatever that's in his system that Alex put in is really strong and can last for a while,” Paulene answered. “It seems like it's wearing off, but if Alex put more in, he could be hospitalized. That's how he was extremely pressured when he had to tell you his feelings towards Jasmine.”

“Ooh, this has blueberries in it,” Adam said to himself, when he was eating the oatmeal.

Alex probably doesn't know that it could be wearing out, but it seems like Adam is still dazed as hell.

I was immediately shocked when Adam had feelings for Jasmine before I came to Nixon. Why hasn't he told me all these years?

My thoughts stopped when I heard muffled noises upstairs.

“No, Jasmine and Paulene are fine.” Paulene shook her head.

“That stupid--”

“What?” I questioned.

“He's impersonating Jasmine’s dad with a voice changer,” she said.

How can he do that? How did he get the materials to do this?

Speaking of Jasmine's father, I wonder if he's one of the parents that wants to kill me. Jasmine spoke about her dad sometimes during a memory, but have never told me that I could meet him and her mom.
