Song of the Chapter: My Love by Justin Timberlake

Recap (Jasmine's POV):

“Paul, you're my best friend, but you know that you can't baby me like a child,” I told her. “I'm nineteen and I don't need an over protected person behind me. And you have to get over the hate with Francisco. We're dating now.”

I look at Adam. “Just shut up before I make you go back to jail.”

I walked to Francisco. “I don't know what you had to say to me, but I have something to say.” I had the same rose and handed to him. “I love you.”

He smiled at me and kisses me softly. It wasn't as rough, but it was memorable.
The man that I met in high school just because he accidentally kicked me in class became a person that I love.

“That's what I was going to say,” he commented. “You beat me to it.”

“After this, me and you should get ice cream,” I heard Adam talking.

“No.”

I smiled when Paulene took a picture of me and Francisco.

Finally, my life is getting into place.

Two weeks later…

Francisco’s POV

Three weeks ago, I'd asked Jasmine to be my girlfriend.

I was surprised that she actually liked me back. I thought she would hate me for obvious reasons.

I was completely wrong.

Throughout the three weeks I'd been dating her, I can finally say I'm officially taken.

Since she helped Adam and I to get back to the same community college that we'd left, I've been studying to get back on track.

I don't know what to do with my life, honesty. I'd been looking at some options for me that I would like and there were two things that stood out.

Law and psychology.

Adam knew that he would study business, just because he wanted to spread his ‘creations’ to the world.

I was at my, well, Adam’s apartment, and studying for a final I had for criminal justice in the dining room and I heard Adam singing a Justin Timberlake song.

He doesn't sing that well.

“Adam, can you shut the hell up?!” I exclaimed. “You can't sing!”

His head popped out from his bedroom. “You're just jealous that I have a wonderful voice.”

“Make that a shitty voice,” I muttered.
“What was that?”

“I mean, you're special.”

His phone rang from his room. He went back inside for a moment, but started to freak out and ran to me.

“The devil is calling me!” He exclaimed.

I gave him a confused look. “What are you talking about?”

He gave the phone to me and the caller ID was none other than Paulene.

I screamed sarcastically. “Oh no, she's coming to get you!”

“I know-- wait, are you messing with me?”

“Pick up the phone,” I told him. I genuinely think that he's scared of her. She's scary, but hey, I have to be friends with her.
