Trixie sped off down the road in my little car. Struggling a little with the gears as she wasn't familiar with the car. I smirked and looked out the window. She was concentrating hard on the road ahead.
"This car is fucking awful" She spat as the gears grinded. I just smiled to myself. She was getting herself in to a rut. She sighed.
"Luckily we are just around the corner" She added. Taking a few turns and bends, she pulled up outside a club. It was three stories high. Lit up like Blackpool illuminations and there were people all on the pavement standing around chatting. The club looked lively. I got nervous as Trixie parked the car perfectly in a tight space. She turned the ignition off and held the keys up to my face.
"Here. I will never drive this junk again" She said playfully. I giggled and took my keys from her hand and stuffed them in to my handbag. She opened the car door and power walked to my passenger side door before I had a chance to open it. I blushed as she helped me out the car. Her white caftan gently blowing in the breeze. I stepped out and felt like royalty as I seen the club goers all staring at Trixie and me. We walked side by side to the entrance. There was a side door on the right of us that was marked "Private". Trixie opened the door and ushered me in. It was private rooms for celebrities, entertainers, singers, you name it. I looked around as there were a few people rushing around getting themselves ready for their sets. The walls were hung with long mirrors and had small counters just underneath.
"The fun has arrived!" Said a voice from the opposite end of the room. A young gentleman ran over , he had his face makeup painted beautifully and he wore a bright pink dress. He had short black hair but he hadn't fastened his wig on just yet.
"You look gorgeous"Said Trixie running over to him and giving him a big hug. I think this is a drag club. I looked around the room and stood awkwardly near the doorway as Trixie spoke to the gentleman.
"And who is this?"Said the gentleman looking over Trixie's shoulder and over to me.
"Oh. This is (Y/N). She is my company for the evening" She answered. She turned to look at me and scanned me up and down. Her face lit up as she looked up to my eyes. She looked away nervously. Was there something on my face? I looked away uncomfortably and tried to wipe my face without anyone noticing. The young man walked over to me and pulled me in for a hug. Squeezing me.
"You look a peach!" He said leaving me go and smiling.
"Nice to meet you" I said politely as he stepped back to stand next to Trixie.
"I can't wait to see your set tonight" He said excitedly to Trixie. She cackled loudly and tapped him playfully. They spoke back and fourth. I scoped the room watching all the entertainers getting ready for their sets . They were dressed so beautifully. I forgot where I was for a moment as I stared around the room.
"Uh, hello? You in there" I heard Trixie standing next to me. She knocked my forehead as if it were a door and laughed loudly. I shook my head snapping back to reality. Her white teeth glimmering through her pink lipstick.
"Sorry. What?" I said stupidly. Shit. Hope it wasn't important.
"I said, come on, let's get a table. " She uttered. I cleared my throat awkwardly.
"Lead the way" I said using my hand for her to lead. She smiled and she began walking to a door on the opposite end of the room. Trixie opened the door and waited for me to walk through first. We were now in the heart of the club. There were people dancing with one another. Twirling around , spinning, waltzing. It was an amazing site. I heard county music playing over the speakers and smiled as I watched the club goers dance around tables , drink their alcohol and singing songs drunkenly. I never knew there was a club like this. It reminded me of being back home with the loud nightlife and club scene. There was a large stage at the back of the club with tables and chairs scattered around it.
Trixie strutted in front off me, swaying her hips side to side and pointed to a table at the front of the stage.
"This is your seat" She said pulling out a chair for me to sit on. I grinned and sat down on the seat she had pulled out for me . She stood next to the table and looked down at me.
"You have the best seats in the house so you make sure you scream the loudest when I come on stage" She pointed at me with her neatly painted finger nails. I laughed loudly with a wide smile.
"Of course I will. Its the least I can do" I answered. She smiled widely and rested her hand on my shoulder.
"I have to get ready. Will you be Ok here on your own?" She asked with concern in her tone. I nodded. I hope so. She removed her hand from my shoulder and looked at me. She flashed a warm smile and made her way back to the private rooms. Without Trixie I felt very nervous and unnerving. I felt off guard and a little bit lost without her at my side. I looked around the room once more at all the unfamiliar faces taking seats around me and I felt my heart thud a little remembering I was at the front. There was a large sign on the table in front of me that said "Reserved". I felt eyes burning in to me as I sat awkwardly.
"How does she get to sit there? She can't be a real fan" I heard a female voice behind me. I tried to ignore it.
"We can sit here instead " Said a male voice answering her.
"But I want to be at the front. How does she get a big table to herself" I heard the female say again. I felt my nerves beginning to get the better of me.
"It doesn't matter . Stop making a scene and sit down."
"Its so unfair. She has a big table all to herself. She hasn't even got a drink. She should move" The girl slurred a little as she spoke. I put it down to her being drunk. I didn't bother to turn around I didn't want conflict. I tucked my hair behind my ear as I pretended to not hear the girl talking about me. I heard her huff as she pulled a chair from under the table. It squeaked as she pulled it out in her temper. I nervously began to play with my necklace that was around my neck. Hurry up Trixie. I felt my breathing begin to quicken.
"I hate people who think there big fans and take up spaces for true fans." I closed my eyes in my temper. I tried to hold back my temper. Little did she know I was invited here by Trixie herself, and sat here by her. But of course people judge you before they know you. I need to tell his girl something . I took a deep breath in and was about to turn-_
"Ladies and Gentleman . Please give a round of applause to the one , the only , skinny legend. Trixie Mattel" The lights dimmed and the stage lit up brightly and on walked Trixie. I kept forgetting how beautiful she was. She strutted in to the middle of the stage holding a pink guitar and saluted the crowd. I stood up and began to shout loudly along with the rest of the crowd. I clapped loudly and she looked down. She gave a cheeky wink towards me and waved at the crowd with her free hand.
