Oh. My head.

Beep. Beep. Beep

What the hell is that noise? Why is everything dark? I opened my eyes slowly. My vision was blurred.I focused my eyes. My surroundings were white and clean. Am I in heaven?  Where am I? Why does it smell clean and weird? I moved my head slowly to the right, where the beeping was coming from. A heart monitor? I squinted again and seen an IV bag hanging from a metal drip stand. I followed the tube down to my arm and saw the needle piercing in to the top of my hand. Ew ew ew. I scrunched my nose as I turned away from the sight. I moved my head to the left, the window was open bringing in fresh air and the blinds were swaying with the slight breeze. What the hell happened ,am I in hospital. Turning to my left, my heart skipped. There , slumped in a  chair in last nights clothes , makeup smudged around her eyes , black marks trailed down her cheeks, was Trixie. She had her hand resting on the side of the chair,  holding up her head as she slept peacefully in the hospital arm chair that was situated next to the side of my bed. I smiled , it was an effort but worth it.  She stayed here all night?  I wanted to reach out and touch her but I felt so heavy. My face stung and my head felt like a rhino was stomping all over it. I groaned as I tried to ignore the pain. As I did. Trixie's eyes flickered open and she stared straight at me.

"Your awake!" She exclaimed, not giving herself a chance to come around. She speedily grabbed my left hand and gripped it tightly. She looked so tired, worn out, worried. I feel awful for bringing her here, she doesn't deserve to stay in a place like this.

"Yeah, I'm awake" I said. My throat was hoarse and dry. Trixie's face was pale, I was worried about her.

"Here, have a drink" She said. She shot up from her chair and began to fumble on a wooden table that was next to the bed. She brought a glass of water up to my lips that had a child's bendy straw in. I didn't answer and leaned forwards, quickly taking a sip. The cool water quickly trickled down my throat and I began to feel a little better.

"Thank you" I said resting my head back on to the pillow behind me.  I smiled at her as she stood next to the bed holding the glass of water and glaring down at me.

"You have had me worried sick" She said with a little quiver in her voice. She placed the glass back on to the table and put her hand to her chest.

"I thought I lost you" She said in almost a whisper. Her eyes began to go glassy as she tried to fight back the tears.

"I am so sorry I put you through this. But I am ok. " I said reassuringly. She relaxed her shoulders and sighed.

"You are never, ever, leaving my side again. You are never going out of my sight. I was on the phone to Katya half the night crying like a widow because I didn't know if you were going to be ok." She said seriously. I giggled loudly , it hurt so much but she always knew how to get me to smile.

"A widow? I'm not dead" I said playfully. Her smile grew and it brightened the room. She leaned over the bed and took me in her arms, She hugged me gently as I shut my eyes and embraced her. Feeling her here and knowing she was with me made the bad pains go away. She still smelt and looked beautiful, even though she had been here all night in the same clothes and drag. She pulled away and stroked the top of my head. Her eye makeup was blotched and dry from where she had been crying.

"You still look beautiful" She whispered as she kissed the top of my head. I felt stinging as she kissed. Why was it painful? Probably from where that stupid twat hit me.

"Trix, can you be honest with me" I asked, she stepped back and pressed her lips together as if she knew what I was going to ask.

"Uh , yeah sure honey , what?" She asked. My heart skipped a little when she called me honey.  I liked it.

"Is my face , you know , disfigured , or something " I said trying not to panic. Trixie began to twiddle her fingers.

"I wouldn't say disfigured, but you do have a few, nasty , marks" She said quietly, hoping I didn't hear her. My heart hammered at my chest.

"Its skin, it will heal" I said lightning the conversation. She smiled, that smile that made everything perfect. She opened her mouth to speak but was interrupted by the door of the room being opened.

"Ah! Hello Miss (Y/S)! Lovely to see you awake" Said a tall man in a white coat. A stethoscope hung around his neck. He held a file in his arms. He was elderly. I take it he is the doctor. He pushed his glasses up from his nose and stared around the room at Trixie and I .

"She is doing so well" Trixie said as she turned to look at him. The hope in her voice for me to go home.

"That's good to hear! She will be able to go home this afternoon!" He said gleefully. Oh thank god, I don't want to stay here.

"But she must be supervised ,so I would suggest she stay with someone to take care of her, just for the evening" The doctor said, he looked at Trixie as if to indicate for her to take care of me. I don't want to be a burden to her.

"She will be, she will be with me , at all times, can she come home now? " Trixie was eager to get me out of this place , and I was eager to get out of here to . I just wanted to go home. The doctor looked down at the file he was carrying and began to mumble to himself as he read over the notes.

"Once her IV has finished, we will remove the bandage around her head and assess the bump and she can go on her merry way." The doctor answered. Trixie did a little jump in excitement as the doctor smiled at us.

"A shower sounds perfect" I said thankful to be going.

"You will have to supervise her in the shower if she is to have one." The doctor said abruptly and quickly. Trixie's cheeks flushed a little.

"Yeah, of course, I understand" She said politely. The doctor gave a quick nod and exited the room to prepare me to go home. Trixie turned and gave a cheeky wink.

"I'll wash your back" She played. I rolled my eyes jokingly. She knew how to play me, and I loved it. Now hurry up Doc, get me out of this place!
