* Quick chapter *Trixie re entered the living room a couple of minutes later completely out of drag. I kept forgetting how cute she was under all that makeup. I got to remember to address her as Brian out of drag. He wore a black vest top and had grey pj bottoms that hung snug on his waist. His face was clear of makeup apart from the stain of pink around his lips where his lipstick had been previous. He stood in the door way smiling my way with his arms crossed over.
"I have made the bed up for us both, there is a glass of water on the bedside table for you and extra pillows" He said sweetly. I gave Brian a nod.
"Thank you" I answered. He uncrossed his arms.
"Are you coming to bed?" He asked shyly, trying not to look me in the eye. I felt like we were an old married couple. I answered with a smile and walked over to where he was stood. He turned on his heels and I followed him to his bedroom. On entering Brian's room I couldn't help but look around. His king sized bed was in front of me and the crisp, clean covers were pulled back by him for easy access in to bed. Two bedside lights were on the cabinets at the side of the bed. The right side light was on and the other off. On the side with the turned off light was the fresh glass of water Brian had made for me. He had a shelf on the left of the bedroom filled with different Cd's. I wandered over to them and noticed one that stood out from the others.
"Dolly Parton?"I said cocking my head. Brian put his hand on his chest over his heart.
"She is so amazing. I love her music. I want to be her" He said, his eyes glistening with happiness as he spoke. He closed his eyes and began singing in a very quiet voice.
"Working nine till five, what a way to make a living" I smiled widely and walked slowly to the side of the bed. I was a little nervous sharing a bed with Brian but the other half of me knew how much of a gentle soul he was. I sat on the bed and swung my legs in to bed, pulling the covers up over my legs. I picked up the glass of water Brian had made me and took a few mouthfuls. He stood in the bedroom doorway watching my every move.I placed the glass back beside me and slid down under the covers. I lay my head on the pillow. This bed in heaven. Brian walked to the opposite side of the bed and turned the lamp off, leaving me lying there in complete darkness. I felt the covers move as he clambered in and pulled the covers up over him . I felt his breath on the back of my neck as he lay next to me. I closed my eyes. I felt safe. I felt protected. The visions of what happened that night soon left my mind.
"I'll make sure you get home safe tomorrow" Brian said in a quiet tone.
"Thank you Brian" I answered with a groggily. I was so drained that I felt myself slowly drifting off to sleep.
"Goodnight (Y/N)" He whispered. I was so tired that I didn't answer Brian. I managed to sleep so peacefully through the night . Early hours of the morning I felt Brian's hand carefully placed on my waist. I didn't bother to move him. Being as drowsy as I was.
When morning did eventually arrive. I woke up to see that Brian was not next to me anymore. My version blurry I sat up and rubbed my eyes. Where was he? I heard a faint musical noise from the living room. Was he up watching television? I groggily stood up from his bed and walked to his bedroom door , being unsteady on my feet. The music got louder. Opening the bedroom door I walked though the corridor to the living area. My eyes widened and my mouth formed in to a smile as I seen Brian sitting on the sofa with his guitar, strumming and singing.
"Mama don't make me put on the dress again,
I can't stand the way it opens when I spin,
Ribbon bows around my shoulder, and I'm only getting older,
Mama don't make me put on the dress again."I didn't interrupt him as I watched at how engrossed he was with his guitar. Hitting the strings and making beautiful chords. Crossing my arms I leaned up against the door frame and melted as I watched him.
"Daddy don't make me fancy dance around,
Painted up in that make-up like a clown,
If I see another stocking, lord
I swear to God, I'm walking, lord
Daddy don't make me fancy dance around"As he sung the last word of the song he looked up and clocked me watching him. He speedily put his guitar down next to him and looked panicked.
"I am so sorry if I woke you" He said apologetically. I raised my hand to interrupt him.
"You didn't wake me Brian" I said . He scoffed.
"Damn I was hoping I did" He said playfully. I rolled my eyes and shook my head.
"Cup of tea?" He asked. I nodded. Tea sounded perfect.
"You know where the kitchen is" He uttered. My mouth opened in horror but it soon formed in to a smile when I noticed his smile widen. His sense of humour I always took with a pinch of salt.
"I'll go put the kettle on." He stood up from the chair and left the living room for the kitchen. I made my across the room and sat on the sofa. The chair was warm from where Brian had been sat. I heard him clinking away in the kitchen for a few moments. He walked into the living room holding a bright, pink mug with a picture of his face on in drag. I giggled as he gently pointed the handle for me to take.
"Vain much?" I said taking the mug.
"It was a fan gift I swear" He smiled holding his hands up. I noticed in his arm was a pink dress. I frowned as I looked up at him.
"You getting in to drag?" I asked. He shook his head and furrowed his brow.
"It's for you to wear home. " He said in a tone as if I was supposed to know. I couldn't wipe the smile off my face as he handed me the dress. It was bright pink with glittery buttons down the front. I placed my mug on the table and took the dress from him.
"It may be a bit big as it's a male size but I'm sure you can pull it off" He smiled broadly as I unfolded the dress. Its gorgeous.
"I'll make sure you get it back as soon as possible" I said looking the dress up and down. He gave a little cackle.
"Your Ok. It doesn't fit me anymore" He said.
"Your very kind" I answered. Brian was beginning to question my feelings. I didn't know how to feel. Was I falling in love with him? Was it just a friendship love? My mind buzzed with emotions and my heart skipped beats as I looked up a him stood next to me with that dazzling , glistening smile.
