Lauren POV

We were greeted with the Miami sun beaming through the window. The warmth of the Sun's heat caressed our skins as we sat down in our seats, hearing the pilot's instructions blaring through the speakers.

"We will be landing in shortly so please stay in your seats before further notice." the pilot commanded. Camila squeezed my hand before releasing it. Giving her a quick glance, I spot her turning to face me before twisting her head the other way. The whole plane journey was like this; just silence filling the atmosphere with numerous sneaky glances at each other. I knew we were both thinking the same thing but I wouldn't dare address it... too risky surrounded by people and I wasn't bothered to discuss anything... too much in thought.

What were we going to tell our parents about our disappearances? I'm sure we've probably been reported missing and there's probably many missing posters scattered around the town - I know my parents too well, certainly Dad. And what was I going to tell Taylor? I'm sure she will have millions of questions to ask me but how was I going to answer her?

I can't tell her the truth... I can't. What would she think of me? Just the thought of her staring down at me, mouth agape, made my stomach churn as the plane sloped downwards, replacing the churn in my stomach with twisted insides.

Camila again held my hand, but didn't look at me.

"Camz, are you alright?" I asked. She looked up at me for a while before looking down. Annoyed, I tilted her chin to face me. 'Tell me what's on your mind.' she smirked at me.

"You stole my line!" I let out a slight chuckle.

"Well go on." she shrugged her shoulders. 'You have to answer. I always do... at some point.' she sighed; it felt good turning the tables on her.

"I... what are we going to tell them about our disappearance? I know we can't tell them about... you know... so, what should we do, Lo?"

"I... I don't know." I said. 'We can-' I was interrupted by the pilot's voice.

"We have landed in Miami, Florida." Squeezing Camz's hand, I manage to rise from my seat, still clutching her hand, and set off for the exit.

Camila POV

Her nails stabbed at my skin but no words of pain formed in my mouth. The pressure of seeing my family again and explaining my disappearance was too great, clogging my head from all the good memories. I didn't want to go home... not now. What were Lauren and I going to tell them? We couldn't tell them the truth... they would definitely look at Lauren a different way and totally stop our wedding plans all together.

As we pushed passed some few people, I yanked Lauren's hand and directed her to wherever was quiet and private; in this case, a little hallway.

"Before we do anything, we gotta figure this out." I said, instantly, letting go of her hand. She caressed her hand for a while, looking at me with a baffled face. 'Don't you look at me like that!' I snapped.

"Looking at you like... Camz? You could've at least warned me you were going to throw me against a wall." I rolled my eyes.

"Lauren, this is not time to start crying over a little booboo! I know my parents are gonna fucking kill me and now is not the time to complain! What is our cover story?!" I demanded. she sighed before grabbing me by my arms.

"Camz... Camila! Listen to me, everything is fine. I got it all under control okay?" I nodded, panic crawling all over my body. 'Just... just follow my lead, okay?' I nodded again.

 The Airport

Patiently waiting was irritating. It passed half past twelve and the girls still had not come. Dinah had received a few annoyed glances but she ignored them. She knew what Strike had told her and she took his word. Maybe there was a delay with the plane but the little informative TV above their heads read that the plane from Miami to Cuba boarding at midday had already landed on time at 12:30pm... but yet both Lauren and Camila were not sighted.

Standing impatiently, arms crossed and staring at the exit where Lauren and Camila were supposed to be located, Dinah felt someone's breath in her ear.

"Are you sure this is what Strike said?" Normani's voice asked. Dinah didn't turn to face her friend but nodded. 'Did he say today-'

"Yes!" Dinah snapped angrily. 'I know what I heard and he said today at 12:30 they were supposed to be here. If you have lost faith you can go but I know what I heard, okay?! If you don't believe me just call him right now!' she said in an irritable tone. A few turned heads to face an annoyed Dinah and a petrified Normani but didn't dare to say anything. Ally stayed put, watching her broken friend furiously looking at the exit.

Just some few yards away from the impatient family and friends, Jake had followed Strike's instructions and watched for two girls walking hand in hand, probably. If Strike had told him earlier about Lauren and Camila's departure from their hiding place, he would have tried to call the hotel to have a word with them to check if they were going to get on the plane. Right now, the odds were not in his favour. It didn't look as if they were going to come at all. Why were they taking their sweet time?

From where he stood, he could see Camila's little sister, eyes watering, waiting for her sister to approach. He looked up to see Lauren's mother, furiously wiping some tears away and then he looked over at Dinah, the most annoyed out of the bunch. She glared at the exit and didn't once take her eyes off it. Her arms were angrily crossed over and her breath was increasing rapidly.

Come on, he thought, Do it for your family! Don't leave them hanging! Heart banging on his ribcage, his breath increased to the same tempo as Dinah's as he watched the exit.

If this Strike tricked us, I swear, I'll find him and kill him myself! he thought, still gazing at the exit with saucepan eyes. Praying with his hands grabbing the fabric in his pockets, his eyes widened at the sight of the two girls, hand in hand like he had thought, with a bag flung over their backs.

   They were home.
