Zubaida in stilettos

Previously

We gotten Zuhayr point of view on the events of the wedding. Husnaa notices a spark between her brother and Zubaida and decides to voice it which get her into trouble and lands Zuhayr into hotter waters

Chapter 9:

Zubaida P.O.V:

Well it a week since the wedding and I still can't believe what happened. Let me do a recap:

1: I was forced to attend a wedding

2: Bump into Zuhayr

3: Met his mother and sister

4: Yusuf now thinks Zuhayr is really my boyfriend

Yes it true, after taking Zuhayr aside to discuss his spying, we ended up bumping into the last person I wanted to see, my ex. Although I couldn't help but notice that Zuhayr looked much better than Yusuf in a suit, I did always admire a man in suit. Okay I am getting off track. Anyways during this incident, Zuhayr (who is clueless shame) told Yusuf to watch his step, and which lead to him finding out, I am Zuhayr girlfriend... That didn't go down so well with Yusuf, he behaved like a maniac, which turnout to be very amusing, but yet again I am the so called girlfriend, when will this guy give it a rest, but I saw an opportunity and said it true, guess I am also losing my mind. But isn't one of my list of getting back at him getting a hot boyfriend, Zuhayr is kind of hot, and it only for that night right.

So I decided to put aside that one night and get on with my life. I decided to join a gym and take up a book club, I am and always will be a bookworm. So after my brief lunch break which I used on self reflecting, I went back to my cubicle.

"Good Afternoon I am told you guys wanted to see me" said Mr Hornett, " Good morning sir, yes we wanted to get your permission to help some clients, we believe these two cases, provided good exposure for the company, plus it will give us a good challenge" I said, "Okay give me the case files, I will look over them tonight, if I approve of them they will be first thing tomorrow on your desk" he say and leaves, That nerve wrecking but I am glad we got that over with, So for the rest of the day we discuss our plan of action that we will do if we get clearance:

Me: Okay first thing we need to do is call them over for the initial meet

Natalie: I will get all the background on the clients

Josh: I will start up with all the legal paperwork, it shouldn't take long, but the legal case could go to court, we need to decided who will headed up the questioning

Me: Okay let first get clearance, than we can discuss that, first priority should be to get our case heard.

Natalie: I agree with Zubaida, that jumping the gun a little, but he does have a point, we need to be prepared for anything that comes our way

Me: True okay we will discuss it tomorrow, let give in the report we prepared for the Jenkins case.

Josh: It already in, I taken the liberty of doing it during break, we did agree it ready for handing in, I saw no need to wait

Natalie: Josh!

Me: it fine, thanks Josh, let take a quick coffee break

So while going down, we bump into Yusuf in the elevator, it is awkward but he decides to talk now, "So how your boyfriend, bet he is considering himself lucky after the wedding, I mean you moved on so easily" he sneered, "He is fantastic, and for your information I didn't cheat on my partner, un like you I know how to be faithful" I said, "I am Josh and this is Natalie, we Zubaida teammates and you are?" said Josh, trying to defuse the tension, Just than the elevator opens, while walking out," He is no one of interests, let's go" I said

At the coffee shop I explained to Josh and Natalie what happened between Yusuf and I. They were stunned, and is super supportive. As we leave a bunch of roses, is left at reception, we all wondered who it for, when Ginny calls me over and say they are for me...
