Chapter 10

Elaine's POV

I sat infront of Mike, who was really tired of chasing her sister.

"Please, where is my sister?" He asked,

I kinda felt bad for him, but I don't wanna betray Jenny also, he looked sincere, I can feel the pain in his eyes, I could read his thoughts and all he thinks about is his sister.

"I'm afraid I cannot tell you." I responded,

"Please, I'm begging you, I just wanna talk to her." He said,

"She wants you to know what she always felt, and she told me to tell you, she said she always chased you, though you kept on running away from her, that's why she's also doing it right now."

"I'm sorry, please just let me talk to her."

I could see that he's about to cry, I can't believe that Mike cries, I just stood and walked away, actually I was heading to Jenny, who was just sitting under the tree.

"Where have you been?" She asked,

"Your brother is here." I responded,

"What? Okay I'll leave."

"But-"

"But what?"

"He's kinda-"

"Wait. Are you feeling bad for him?"

"Well kinda, but it looks like he's about to cry."

"He deserves it anyway."

"Aren't you atleast gonna talk to him?"

"I know, but it's just hard."

"It'll be much harder if you don't talk about it to your brother."

"Are you saying I should talk to him?"

I nodded, Jenny let out a sigh, she walks to where Mike was, Mike sat there but he was looking back at us so he didn't know we were approaching him, his head leaned to his knees, until Jenny called her.

"Hi." Jenny said,

Mike looked behind and I saw his face delighted as he saw Jenny, he stood vastly and hugged Jenny.

"Jenny, I was so worried." He said,

I couldn't help but smile, they were such sweet siblings, I wished I would have a sibling like that, and I could see Jenny tearing up a little, she pushed away and spoke.

"Sorry Mike, I can't talk to you." Jenny said,

Jenny grabbed my arm and we vastly walked to the car, Mike tried to stop Jenny but he was too late, we left and I saw that Mike went to his car.

"I think he's gonna follow us." I said,

"I'll take care of that." Jenny said,

I only looked back, I kept watching Mike's car, until Jenny took a sharp turn, I slid to the other side of the car, It seemed like Mike became lost so I finally sat straight and watched Jenny drive, I didn't know where she was taking us, just then Jenny pulled up and I just realized that we were back to the hotel, we walked to our room, I then spoke.

"Jenny, can I borrow your car again?" I asked,

"Where are you going?" She asked,

"It's really important and I might be gone for long, I might come back at night."

"Okay, just take care."

I took the carkeys and went to the car, I drove back to the Police Station, but I just confidentally went in and asked the Police Officer.

"Excuse me officer?" I said,

"Yes? what is it ma'am?" He asked,

"Do you know a man named Dave?"

"Umm... what is the last name?"

"I can't remember, just atleast show me the Daves here."

"Well, we do have Daves but there is one that is in mental health."

"Can I see him?"

"I'm afraid I cannot."

"Please, it's really important."

Another officer then came to us.

"What's going on here?" He asked,

"Officer Watson, she wants to see Dave, the Higgin's abductor."

"Why? What are you to him?" Officer Watson asked,

"He is... umm... my... father." I responded,

Officer Watson's eyes widened, I don't know what my father did this time, he ordered the other officer to contact someone, Officer Watson led me to a hallway full of cells, but half of them were empty, each cell would only have one person, Charlie stopped infront of a cage and stared at me.

"Look at the man, is it him?" He asked,

I looked at the man who revealed his face, I then nodded slowly.
