Chapter 30

"What are you doing here?" I asked.

"I just had to check on you." He responded.

"Why?"

"Because your life is at stake."

"Why do you care?"

"Why won't I?"

"Because I thought you hate me."

"Why would you think that?"

"Because of what you said earlier."

"C'mon, it doesn't mean I hate you."

"Just... stop following me."

"Okay, I'll go now."

He walked out of his car and closed the window. He locked his car and started to walk away. He turned around again.

"You should be back at fifteen minutes." He said.

"Why do you have to decide?" I asked.

"For your safety, if you're not here after fifteen minutes. I'm gonna look for you."

"Why do you keep on checking out on me?"

"Because I want to."

I looked at him curiously, he smiled and winked at me before he started to walk back to the Hotel. I went back to Jenny's car and started eating my snack. After I finished eating it. I went out the car and threw the left-overs and the plastic to the trash. I went back to the car and rested my back on the seat. I clutch the steering wheel and checked the time on the radio, it was 8:30 already.

My eyes slowly closed and I fell asleep. I woke up to find that I was under the ocean with Mike. I had my fish tale and he was holding my waist and he was pulling us down. I stared at his eyes as he met mine. I then heard knocking from my left.

I suddenly woke up and realized I was just dreaming. I heard a knock on my left and saw that Mike was knocking. I rolled down the window and Mike looked at me.

"Had a good night sleep?" He asked.

I sighed and rubbed my tired eyes. He chuckled. I closed the window and took Jenny's car from the keyhole. I opened the door and went out. I locked it and I started walking towards the Hotel. Mike was beside me and he was smiling. I didn't know what he was smiling at.

Suddenly, as I was walking, I almost fell. Mike caught me and placed his arm around my waist. He took my left arm and put it around him. My eyes kept closing but I refused to let them. The third time I almost fell was when I held Mike's hand that wrapped around my waist. I definetely lost and fell asleep.

Mike's POV

Elaine gave up and fell asleep. She's cute when she sleeps. I just carried her and wrapped both of her arms around my neck. She wasn't that heavy, she's actually lighter than I thought. I went in the elevator and people that were in it kept looking at me.

I smiled at them as I went out the elevator. I calmly knocked the door and Josh opened it. His eyes widened as he saw me carrying Elaine. I only passed him and went straight to thebedroom. I carefully placed Elaine on the bed next to the girl who was sleeping too.

I went to the Kitchen and Jenny stood there, looking at me.

"What happened to her?" She asked.

"She fell asleep. Nothing bad happened to her." I responded.

"Are you sure?"
