"What is she doing there?" I asked, shockingly.
"Okay, here's what happened." Jenny said.
"When you ran for Emily you suddenly dissapeared." Jenny explained, "And we noticed that Emily floated and was thrown towards us. We catched her and we saw that you replaced her."
"Replaced?" I asked.
"Yeah. You were the one who was sitting on the chair already." Jenny continued, "But then you dissapeared again and came back. Hayden ran to you and suddenly dissapeared just like how you did too. And you got replaced."
"That's... weird."
"Yeah, I think whoever goes near that chair will be the replacement."
"But why?"
"This room is actually like a punishment to people like us." Jamie said.
"Punishment?" Jenny asked.
"Yeah, like if you don't obey your dad, you'll be sent here."
"Sitting on the chair is the punishment?"
"No. Something's going to mess with your brain."
"Really? Then Elaine must've been seeing things."
"Yeah. Yeah I did." I said.
"What did you saw?" Jenny asked.
"I can't explain it well and I don't think I can remember them all already."
"Okay."
"So... How do we get Hayden?" Jamie asked.
"I don't know actually." I responded.
"Me neither." Jenny responded.
"We can't get close to the chair, we're gonna need someone who can get Hayden without hands." Emily said.
"Who?" Jenny asked.
Emily stared at me and pointed her finger at me.
"Elaine." She said.
My eyes widened and I gaped.
"Me? I can't do it." I said.
"You can." Jenny said.
"I can't develop it yet."
"But you did at the time you saved me from Josh."
"It was because I'm angry."
"Then be angry."
"I can't."
"Come on."
"I'll try."
I faced Hayden from the distance and tried to focus. I tried to move her but nothing was happening. Then I sighed.
"I can't do it." I said.
"But you're our only hope." Emily said.
"I'm sorry, but I can't do it."
I tried to walk away and approach the door, but before I could, Jamie yelled.
"You're being useless!"
I turned around, shocked because of what he said.
"What did you say?" I asked.
"You're being useless." He repeated, "That's your sister in there."
"I'm sorry, but I can't do it."
"Yeah, you're useless."
"Take back what you said."
"No I won't. It's true anyway."
"I'm not useless."
"Yes you are. Jenny get to carry you to the car. You sabotaged our plan to capture the burglar in the apartment."
"That wasn't my fault."
"Ugh... yes it is."
"No it's not."
"Yes it is. And you could just get out from that door and be useless again."
My anger rose so I didn't say anything and just walked out of the door. I burst open the door and went out. Mike, Josh and Fred stood there, shocked.
"Hey, I saw you guys get in there. Sorry." Josh said.
"It's okay." I said, quietly.
I continued walking away but someone took my elbow.
"Where are you going?" Mike asked.
"Out of here. I don't wanna be useless." I responded, angrily.
I snatched my elbow away and continued walking away. In my anger, I opened all the doors on the hallway with my telekinesis.
I continued walking into the lobby. There was a WolfDog walking around. I only continued walking towards the exit and killed the WolfDog by my telekinesis.
I went out the building and screamed loudly.
"Hey! B*tch! Come get me!" I screamed.
I haven't cursed for so long, until now. I kept looking around until something jumped infront of me. I saw it was a WolfDog.
"You're Jenny's dad?" I asked.
"Yes."
His voice was so dark and deep.
"You can leave them alone." I said.
"All I wanted were mermaids. But mermaids like Jenny and You are dangerous to me." He said.
"Jenny? A mermaid? You're kidding."
"You never knew?"
"Never knew what?"
"Jenny's a mermaid."
