Elaine's POV

I still swim in the sea like a free girl, I always wanted to be free, but my father told me that it was dangerous to show myself to the land, the people who live in there thinks that we are extinct, that we don't exist anymore, I wanted to go there but I'm afraid I might never come back like my sisters, I swam back where my father was, my father was close to the king, I became a mermaid since twelve years old, yes, I was a human before until my parents abandoned me and my sisters, they didn't want me when they knew that I wasn't normal, I was different from the normal people, and they became afraid of me that's why they left me in the ocean instead of leaving me to adoption, my father and king was talking about how my sisters doesn't come back, my first lost sister went to the land and never came back, my second one went to the land and looked for her though she didn't come back also, and so on until it was only me and my younger sister.
"We really need someone who knows how to cover up and pretend like a human to get my daughters." My father said,
I was a human before and I thought about it, I tried to think about it and finally told my father.
"What about me?" I asked,
"No Elaine, it's dangerous there, you and Emily are the only ones I have, we need someone better." He responded,
"But dad, I was a human before and I still know how to speak their language."
"No Elaine."
He swam away from the King's tomb, I looked down and tried to swam after him but Emily stopped me and swam after him herself, My father and Emily came back, My father swam to me and hold my shoulder.
"Okay, I shall accept that you'll go into the land, but promise me that you'll come back." My father said,
I became happy and hugged him, the King gave me my soul but it was in a tiny glass, and I could see the light glow in it, It was hung in a necklace, I wore it and got ready, I hugged all my friends and family that were here and started to swam away, the next thing I know later was I saw that it was getting less shallow and I saw seaweeds.
