Abby's Lab

I wake up the next morning, I wake up to Tim shaking me awake.

"Come on, we're going to be late. Here's a shirt you can borrow." He says placing the t-shirt on the end of the bed.

I pull my jeans back on and slip on the T-shirt the Tim had lent me. I shove my stained shirt from yesterday which I'd got pizza sauce all over into my bag and went out to the living room where Tim was standing with a coffee and doughnut.

"I got you these." He says handing them over before picking up his own from the table.

"How early do you get up McGee if you've already been on a coffee run." I question seeing that it was only half six.

"I wanted to go to the good place so half five." He smiles.

"Your insane." I say as we leave his apartment and then I take a bite of the doughnut and a sip of my coffee.

"Ok these are amazing." I laugh.

McGee drives us to work and then we go up to the bull pen where Tony is already sat.

"How was your little sleepover, well your wearing McGee's shirt so things must have gone well." Tony says a massive grin on his face.

I shake my head at Tony's childish comment and sit down at my desk. I take a few things from the bottom draw of my desk and go and fix my hair in the toilets. I return back to my desk only to find Jimmy already perched on the edge of my desk chatting with Tim.

"The gossip is that you two slept together last night." Jimmy tells us.

I look at me and he immediately points over at Tony.

"Why does that not surprise me, Unfortunately you've been misinformed Jimmy." I reply.

"but you are wearing his shirt." Tony smirks.

"I spilt pizza sauce." I tell them. Jimmy slinks back of to autopsy unexcited about the real reason. The rest of us start back up on the case with Gibbs tied up in some meeting in MTAC.

I start going through the case reading and re-reading, I came across Ducky's notes. I get up from my seat and go and see him down in Autopsy.

"Ducky, you said yesterday that the guy with Kate's guy can't have been the shooter. How far away did the bullet come from?" I ask.

"Abby's working that out on her computer, it would have had to of been a rooftop a couple of miles away." Ducky explains.

"Thanks Ducky." I reply.

I make my way from autopsy over to Abby's lab which isn't too far. Just as I reach her lab I hear a gun shot. I instinctively drop to the floor and pull my knees up to my chest, the sound triggers the memories of the gas station. Gibbs comes running straight past me 5 minutes or so later and heads into to the lab and then Tony comes crawling out after a minute or two. He presses the button for the lift and then as he's waiting he turns around and notices me on the floor.

"Megan? Megan is that you?" Tony asks as I bury my head in my hands.

"Megan, talk to me are you ok?" He questions.

I look up and noticed him crouched in front of me, I look at him and the moment I actually look him in the eye I shake my head and the completely breakdown in his arms as he hugs me.

"Gun shot trigger a flashback?" Tony asks me and I nod.

"I really though I had killed her Tony." I mumble as we pull away from each other.

"and somehow that was easier made more sense then whatever is happening now. Some guy still out there killing innocent people." I tell him.

"We'll find him. I promise." Tony tells me.

"That's what everyone keeps saying but he's already killed Kate and tried to kill me and abs." I reply frustrated by everything.

"It's true though, now let's get you back upstairs." Tony says helping me to my feet. We take the elevator back up to the main floor.

"It's getting late, you want Chinese, or burgers or tacos?" Tony asks as we stand awkwardly in the elevator.

"ooohh Tacos sounds good, I can't believe your actually doing a takeaway run for once." I smile and Tony chuckles.

"I'm not, I'm getting McGeek to go." Tony replies.

"Tony!" I say hitting him lightly.

"What? He likes to feel important and what's more important than food?" He says with a grin.
