I come to work, everyone is busy working in the bull pen since we had a full on case at the minute. I was late as I always was on a Thursday because of my therapy sessions but it had been cleared by Vance. Gibbs looked over at me in his usual way asking how the session had gone. I nodded to indicate that it had gone well and then sat down at my desk.

"Grab your gear." Gibbs calls seconds later after getting off the phone.

We turn up at the crime scene, a girl left dead in the road with a car next to her.

"Looks like a hit and run." Tony announces which is the obvious answer without an investigation.

Ducky and Jimmy examine the body and cause of death is likely to be internal bleeding caused by the hit. I'm talking with them why Tim and Tony examine the car and surrounding area.

"Got something." Tim calls and we all make our way over to the passengers side of the car.

"A note, all it says is DI Iain Kingston." Tim told us.

"Well that's odd, do you think it is some sort of clue?" Tony asks.

"It's probably nothing. I mean I have loads of random pieces of paper in my car." I reply.

"We will look into it once we get back." Gibbs tells us as note is bagged for evidence.

We continue to look around the scene finding what we hope are the Killers footprints. We get the car taken back to Ncis and then go back to the base ourselves.

"Right Tim, background on the girl. Tony, find out where that car came from. Megan, evidence with Abby." Gibbs gives out the orders.

I make my way down to the garage to help Abby dusting for prints in the car. We also had to check the blood match, check the footprint and all the other evidence that we weren't sure if it related or not. When we are finally done getting everything put into databases I return to the bull pen and Abby goes back down to her lab.

"What you got?" Gibbs asks coming back into the bull pen a little while after I had returned.

"The Victim Ashley Harrow was a naval officer, came from a small village and was staying in army accommodation. According to her diary she was on her way back to the naval base after dinner with friends. She was popular amongst her colleagues." Tim tells us.

"The Car is registered to a hire company called Jakk. It has been hired out for only a week b a guy called Harris Malone, which at this point we believe to be an alias. DI Iain Kingston was however involved in a crash between car and pedestrian which seems to mirror our crime scene." Tony informs us.

"What similarities are there?" Gibbs asked. I could think of a few already of the top of my head and that case was over 16 years ago.

"Well the victim was 16 years old like the Victim today both blonde haired blue eyed girls. The police officer that crashed left the car, like our killer. The position of the body right down to the cut on the left upper arm. Which was originally caused by something on the front of the police car but there was nothing on the car today." Tony explains.

"A copycat?" Tim asks.

"Maybe someone trying to prove a point about the original crash." Tony theorizes.

"Right, Tim, Tony go and speak to the neighbours on the army base and then go and talk to her colleagues." Gibbs orders them.

They grab their gear and heads towards the elevator leaving just me and Gibbs in the bull pen.

"What do you want me to do?" I question.

"Megan, why was your fathers name on that note?" He asks me.

"I don't know Gibbs." I reply.

"Tony's already explained the similarities, we are going to have to investigate into your dad's crash to find people who would want to mimic it." Gibbs tells me.

"You think this could have something to do with my father?" I ask.

"Nothings for sure so for now we keep it between us but if there is anything you or your family can tell us that might help." he replies.

"I don't know anything really just that he hit a girl and a couple of days later he committed suicide, I was only 9." I explain.

"Why don't you explore the alias that the driver used, see if it brings up anything else." Gibbs tells me.
