"You ready for this?" Melissa asked, coming up to her boyfriend who was sitting beside his brothers. All three of their nerves incredibly heightened.
"I don't know babe... what if they don't accept us coming back? What if... what if they..." Nick stuttered out, his chocolate eyes flickering up to Melissa.
The young girl kneeled in front of him, taking his hands in hers gently, "Are you kidding babe? They have been wondering if this was happening since last summer. The fans want it... trust me." She smiled at him, running her fingers through his curls.
"You have a secret fan twitter don't you?" Joe inquired, laughing softly.
Melissa blushed, slapping Joe's thigh gently, "nope..." she lied, as all three of the boys gave her a look, "yeah... I do." she giggled.
"I knew it!" Joe exclaimed, pointing at her, "I told you, Nicholas!"
Nick grinned at her, knowing he didn't expect anything less from his girlfriend, "they don't know it's you, right baby?"
She shook her head, "of course not." ——— {9:50am}
The time was getting closer... the announcement of the single. Everyone was freaking out, quite literally.
As Kevin pressed the tweet button, Nick looked at Melissa, squeezing her hand lightly, "thank you for believing that the boys and I could do this again... if it wasn't for you... I wouldn't of had the courage to do something great again with them."
"Anything for you, you know I always believe that you can do amazing things." Melissa smiled weakly at him.
"Let the craziness start once again!" Joe exclaimed, with Sophie sitting beside him.
Within seconds there were thousands of likes, comments and retweets. It was as if they were changing the world just by getting the band back together.
To the family.... to the fans.... to the boys themselves? They actually were. ———— The days dragged on, the boys' days were getting longer, and busier.
Soon enough it seemed like they didn't even have time to tell their significant others' that they loved them. All everyone could think about was the next gig that they had to be at.
Some days, Melissa just stayed back at the hotel, busying herself with hobbies that she enjoyed.
Thankfully she had something like that to occupy her as she waited for the boys to come back to the hotel. So that her mind wasn't filled with the horrible thoughts that tried to consume her all the time.
That day basically flew by and Nick was stepping through the door at 7pm, a huge grin on his face as he saw his girlfriend.
He quietly stepped into the kitchen, wrapping his arms around her from behind, "hey Angel, whatcha makin?" he whispered, kissing her cheek.
"I thought I'd make some cookies for the girls to snack on for the sleepover we're gonna have with them before we head to LA." she replied, looking back at him.
Nick and Melissa thought it'd be a great idea to invite Alena, Valentina and Kevin and Danielle to spend the night at the apartment that night. As the young couple lived closer to the airport then Kevin and Danielle did.
"That sounds perfect baby, kinda like you." he smirked, and turned her around to kiss her. "Are you ready for this crazy couple of years ahead of us?" he mumbled, leaning his forehead against hers.
Melissa really didn't realize what they were getting themselves back into... the tours, the interviews, writing and recording albums twenty-four seven? They wouldn't have two seconds to themselves, a moment to breathe. But she wouldn't give any of it up... she loved Nick too much to leave.
"Yeah, but are you ready for being with your brothers every second of the day again?" she asked seriously, knowing that the close quarters and musical differences was what caused the separation last time.
Nick didn't get the time to reply, as there was a loud knock at the door.
"That must be Kev and the girls." Nick said softly before kissing his girlfriend one last time then went to answer the door.
She leaned back against the counter, hoping she would've gotten an answer out of him. But she knew him more than anything or anyone. He loved the music too much to give any of it up.
The whole night included Disney movies, and singing songs at the top of everyone's lungs. And as they began setting up a little camp area for them to sleep in, Melissa smiled gratefully at Nick.
She sometimes couldn't believe the life she had... the fact that she could call Nick Jonas her boyfriend. Even though they had their issues and she wasn't stable in the head... she loved her life. ———— Sorry this took me so long to get to you guys. And sorry this is so short. I had major writers block on this chapter. 😭🥺
