Nick was keeping things underwraps, had been writing a song that he knew was very special to him... about Melissa.
And of course, he soon was experiencing writer's block, not knowing what to put in the bridge of said song, so he enlisted his brothers to help him finish it.
For Melissa's upcoming birthday, he wanted to come up with the best present for her that he could imagine, knowing she deserved it and more.
The days slowly passed, and his schedule got busier and busier especially now that him and his brothers were now writing a album said to come out the following year. ———- {July 12th, 2018 NYC Nick- 26, Mel- 24}
"Make sure you're ready by 5pm tonight babe, okay?" Nick came up to her earlier that morning, handing the birthday girl his credit card and laid a soft kiss on her forehead.
"Sophie will go with you to pick out the most amazing dress for you to wear, even though you look beautiful in anything." he smiled softly, looking down at the girl with all the love in his eyes.
She blushed deeply, and felt the butterflies erupting in her tummy, "Nicky..." she whispered. Her small hands reached for his, not even realizing that she was playing with them. ———- A few hours later, Sophie and Melissa walked back into the spacious hotel room, dropping the multiple shopping bags to the ground.
They were both exhausted after the small adventure they had gone on to find the birthday girl the most beautiful dress they could.
It'd taken 3 different stores, but they had finally found it. A lacy, purple dress, that stopped just above the knees. They definitely could've found a more dressy.... dress; lol. But they knew that the chosen dress was the one that fit her style the best.

Sophie took her time curling Melissa's hair and doing her make up perfectly. They both knew why Nick was doing all of this... it was the most obvious thing ever.
So of course they wanted to make sure Melissa looked as gorgeous and beautiful as she could.
The time ticked slowly, and finally it was 5pm. Nick walked through the door, dressed in a sleek, black tuxedo.
