Things were going as planned, and everyone was having an absolute blast as the party kept raging.
"So, who's this new girl you've been talking to?" Joe asked as he came up to his brother, who sat at the main table for family.
Nick's head immediately shot up, "how'd you find out?" Nick stuttered out, setting his iPhone on the table.
"Oh... so it is true?" Joe chuckled, "Mel wasn't just being a jealous ex?"
The younger Jonas peeked over at the 23 year old who was sporting a beautiful gown; a light purple color with subtle glitter all over it.
He knew he couldn't lie to his brother, knowing that the older Jonas could practically see right through him. "It's Priyanka Chopra." Nick sighed, looking up at his brother. "The Rock thought we'd be good together and introduced us." he explained, leaning back in his seat.
"You know you're hurting that young girl over there more than what you think." he said lowly, pointing back to Melissa who was laughing along with Danielle and Sophie. "It's always been the two of you, Nick and Melissa... Melissa and Nick. You were practically made for one another, and you don't see that."
Nick shook his head softly, not believing that his brother was siding with her over his own flesh and blood. "you both are being so fucking stubborn... it's not even funny." Joe rolled his eyes. "You don't see it now, but you are meant to be with her. She is your other half." he tried to knock some sense into him.
"Well, ya know what? She needs to... to grow the hell up." he exclaimed, his cheeks heating up, either from the alcohol coursing through his veins... or maybe it was from what they were talking about. But he stopped for a second, realizing what he had said, "I mean... she needs to move on... I have." Nick said sternly, getting up, his drink tipping over from the impact. "She was my childhood love..." he said softly, his eyes drifting to her once again, "But I need someone for my future, Pri is that."
